    Thanks for your feedback!

Good read, interesting view of history

Interesting angle on the French aristocracy and royalty leading up to the French Revolution. The book was a bit slow to start but I kept with it even though it was not as interestingly written as I would have liked. In the end it was good, not great. I liked the insight into the lives of the people who lived at that time, of the royal and court life and how society would have viewed the antics of the king and his family.

    Sororal love

Cleverly told in a mix of first person and correspondence which captures so well the public and the personal hypocrisy of the court and times of King Louis and Versailles. The paucity of parental care and the insecurity of women in society, result in the outcomes described in this entertaining story.
