    The sound of gravel

Awesome story, had a hard time to put it down. I needed a tissue at the end.

    Moving

Such an inspirational story. The resilience of this family is amazing considering the hardships endured. Thoughtfully written and an easy read. Hard to put down.

Makes you want to read it.

Excellent book. Difficult to read at times because of the poverty that these children were subjected to and how polygamy affected their lives and all that was preached in the name of God.

    The Sound of Gravel

I don't want to say that I enjoyed this book as it was so heart wrenching to read. However, I felt the author did a remarkable job not only in her writing but also for being a survivor and caretaker of her siblings. It's hard for me to believe that there are those out there who proclaim this lifestyle/belief is in the greater good of God and not just their personal satisfaction.

    What a story

It's hard to imagine being in anyone's else shoes let alone this authors. Funny how in different cultures anything that's throw at you can seem like the norm. Great read... Very inspiring author.
