    Christmas Wedding

"The Southern Comfort Christmas: A Heartwarming Christmas Romance" by Barbara Lohr is book number six in the "Windy City" romance series. This is Harper Kirkpatrick and Cameron Bennett's Christmas wedding story. Planning any wedding can be stressful and chaotic. As their wedding date gets closer Harper and Cameron discover having a Christmas wedding is even more stressful. Well, lets throw in family issues, Cameron breaks his ankle, Bella is acting up at school, and wedding arrangements that have to be changed to add to the stress they already are experiencing. How will Cameron and Harper handle all these situations and still get their dream wedding? I enjoyed getting reacquainted with Harper, Cameron, and Bella. This is a heartfelt story where two people in love find a way to handle the wedding stress, difficulties that life throws at them, and begin the healing process with family issues. This story is a wonderful addition to the "Windy City" series. The author has a way of making you feel a part of the story. The characters feel like your friends. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

    Contemporary Christmas Romance

What fun to revisit Harper and Cameron just before their Christmas wedding! Having read how they met in “Finding Southern Comfort” and then having fallen in love with this couple and Cameron’s wee Bella I was thrilled to have been offered an ARC to read and review. In this book the wedding is a recipe for disaster UNLESS a solution can be found. Will the idea of going to cold and windy Chicago and wearing her mother’s wedding dress be all that her mother hopes or will a better idea appear for Harper and Cameron? Both are bogged down with holiday responsibilities and feeling more behind by the minute until friend Julep suggests something that might just save the day. Cameron and Harper have such a wonderful and loving relationship that I really wanted their wedding to be unique and just what they needed and wanted rather than something neither were in the mood for – reading how it all comes together (along with some surprises) was just the thing to put me in the holiday spirit. Thank you to the author for the copy of this book. This is my honest review.

No wonder I love Ms. Lohr.

Nothing like family to test the bonds of love. Cameron and Harper are learning that first hand. From opinionated family, to frustrating little surprises. Everything that could go wrong does for these lovebirds. It takes some elbow grease, a good dose of optimism and in the end the magic that is love to make this dream wedding a reality. The Southern Comfort Christmas blends laughter with the chaos of the familial dynamic but proves that love is the strongest power of all. No wonder I love Ms. Lohr. Her stories are true to life and heartwarming.
