  • Intriguing!

It was interesting to read this after reading The Handmaids tales. Never would’ve thought Aunt Lydia had such a huge part to play in the fall of Gilead.

  • The Testaments

LOVED it! Everything I could have wished for in the sequel for “Handmaid’s Tale” and so much more — we all wondered how Gilead fell... now we know.

  • Great sequel

I seldom like sequels but this was excellent. Had a very claustrophobic atmosphere that carries the narrative along.

  • A thoroughly enjoyable story, a great follow up

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The premise was excellent however I didn’t fully understand the reason behind Daisy being quite so juvenile, uncouth, clueless, dangerous even. The situation in which she found herself was such a dangerous one yet her behaviour was extremely questionable. Besides that though I loved the rest of the story. I would have raced through it in just a couple of days had it not been fit my 5 & 7 year old distractions. Well done Margaret Atwood on another success story.

    Thanks for your feedback!

  • A solid sequel, but questions remain

I thought this was a totally solid review to The Handmaid's Tale. I enjoyed the multiple perspectives once I got them straight in my mind, but there was a lot that felt really predictable. That coupled with the questions left unanswered (things I thought I already knew were proven true, but things I wanted to know were left unsaid), is why I only gave this 4 stars. I think if there was more coming and I thought the answers were going to tie together in the end, I might've enjoyed it more.

    Thanks for your feedback!
