  • THREE BODY PROBLEM

Interesting concept, but hard to get into. Excellent writing, but too many scientific explanations for the average reader. Also if not familiar with Chinese culture, and way of life, it's difficult to stay with the story in the first instances. I almost put the book away in the beginning of the read, and that would have been too bad, because it is a worthwhile read. Just because of the concept, and it truly makes you think about the possibilities of an intelligent encounter

  • Amazing SF

This is by far the most difficult book I've read in a long time, but the payoff is more than worth it. Absolutely fantastic, even after having to restart it a few times. My #1 choice for the Hugo.

  • To err is human - on a cosmic scale

This is a very satisfying read. The science concepts are current and the progression of the story in time seems to be plausible. The characters and the culture are undeniably Chinese: very eye opening. Very human.

  • Zeroes and ones

Could not finish it. Story did not make me care for any of the characters. It was as if it were written by a computer; all science and no emotion. Facinating, but not my cup of tea.

  • Slow start, great finish

This book took me a long time to ready as there is a lot of detail in the first half. A lot of different settings and characters. In the end, though, very thought provoking novel that will have you considering a lot of different "what if" scenarios.

    Thanks for your feedback!
