    LOVED it!

What an adventure! I loved getting lost in the Rocky Mountains with Emma, Simeon, and Joseph, and feeling the majesty and power and danger of the untamed wilderness. Simeon is one of my favorite types of heroes- strong, quiet, and harboring a private angst that our heroine helps him release. He saves her physically, but she saves him spiritually by encouraging him to turn to the Lord and reminding him that God's love and peace are always there, even and especially in the hard times. Emma's strength and fortitude was impressive, I can't imagine undergoing such a journey during pregnancy! When the circumstances were overwhelming, she had the grit necessary to push her anxieties to the side and buckle down to help the men. I loved her relationship with her brother Joseph and the care and support they gave each other. Joseph had a good sense of humor and was quick to smile... when he wasn't injured. Emma wasn't quick to trust Simeon because of her previous experience with men, but he quickly proved himself stalwart and reliable. Their friendship grew steadily throughout the book and their romance developed naturally after that, which I loved. There is plenty of peril and nail-biting suspense balanced skillfully with the more mundane parts of an arduous journey and the reflections of characters who are searching for safety. I am looking forward to reading more by this author! (I received a complimentary copy of the book; all opinions in this review are my own)

    Wonderful historical novel

This new book by Misty M. Beller was so exciting to read! There is literally not one boring page. You won't be finding yourself skimming through this book, you will not want to miss any of it! So good. This historical fiction is really heartwarming and shows the pioneering spirit of the people in this time period. Also you will see the need for self-sufficiency as they face their many trials, as well as needing the help of others, as well. This was truly a treacherous journey. You won't want to miss this one! I received an ebook copy of this book from the author. All thoughts are my own.

One of my all time favorites

Of all of Misty's books this one is my absolute favorite. It reminds me that we serve a God of second chances! It is a powerful story of getting that second chance in life and walking through the process of feeling like the second chance isn't deserved.

    This Journey is Spectacular

The Treacherous Journey Misty B Beller What an adventure The Treacherous Journey was!! I loved this book so much because the characters seemed so real and the author made me feel as though I was there traveling across the Rocky Mountains in the deep snow with them. The pain, suffering, snowstorms, Indians and the terrible conditions this mountain was to cross. Missy M. Beller is one of the best authors I’ve read this year. The way she described the raw emotions of these three people to the most beautiful description of the mountain and the views I’ve ever read. It didn’t take pages to describe scenery just a few words and I could see it. I could NOT put this book down and can’t wait to read Missy’s other books. The pure love of God was amazing throughout the book but not preachy. I can’t wait for other reader to read The Treacherous Journey! If you like adventure, danger and more danger then this book is for you!!! **I received a copy of this free in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion. I wasn't required to write a positive review, nor was I compensated in any other way. All opinions expressed are my own or those of my family.**
