  • Dangerous temptation.

Shadows of heartache reveals dangerous temptation. The Trouble with Whiskey is a heartbreaker in search of it's soul. Dare and Billie are unpredictable. From volatile to emotional, their relationship is far too addictive not to explore. Like a thundercloud struggling to find it's rainbow, Foster refuses to back down from the challenge of seducing the heart right out of your chest despite the bumps and bruises along the way.

  • Excellent - eager for more!

The Trouble with Whiskey by Melissa Foster The Whiskeys: Dark Knights at Redemption Ranch #1 Second chances don’t come to all but thankfully Dare and Billie get their second chance and manage to get it right this time around. Such a treat to read their story while being introduced to a new spin-off series by a magnificent author! Melissa Foster has created a world with communities that interlock and people that show up in various series and spinoffs from those series. Each book stands on its own but might just make the reader interested in reading previous books too. What I liked: * Devlin “Dare” Whiskey: thrill seeker, therapist, cowboy, bright, caring, communicates well, strong, wise, good brother-son-friend, intense, committed, falls in love early and remains in love for years, Dark Knights MC member, doesn’t give up * Wilhelmina “Billie” Mancini: bar manager, daughter, sister, grieving, guilt-ridden, walled off after the death of Eddie, ex-motocross champion, moderated her thrill seeking adrenaline seeking hobbies, coming out of a dark place * Eddie: friend of Billie and Dare, one of the three Daredevils, filmmaker, died too soon * The way Dare was there for Billie even when she was closed off and cantankerous * The breakthrough Dare made with Billie and how it happened * Meeting the Mancini and Whiskey families and seeing the location the series will take place * That the Dark Knights MC is a positive influence in the community * Kenny: teenager that comes to Redemption Ranch for help * Being introduced to characters that may play a part in future books * The connection between Dare and Billie * The connections and support of the smalltown community, families, and Dark Knights members * Knowing that there is another book to look forward to in this series What I didn’t ‘like: * Thinking about the emotions that various characters must have had to endure and deal with at various moments in the story…parents of thrill seekers, watching grieving, losing a loved one, and more Did I enjoy this book? Yes Would I rad more in this series? Definitely Thank you to the author for the ARC – This is my honest review. 5 Stars

  • Loved it

5 Star Review of The Trouble With Whiskey: Dare Whiskey You (The Whiskeys: Dark Knights at Redemption Ranch #1)   From the first chapter to the last I was enthralled with the story that Melissa Foster wove about Dare Whiskey and Billie Mancini’s second chance at love story. When I heard that Ms.Foster had a new series releasing I couldn’t wait to dive in. Set in Hope Ridge, Colorado this was an emotional roller coaster of a read as Dare fights his way back into Billie’s life. Torn apart by the death of their mutual best friend Eddie , Billie pushed Dare out of her life, but never out of her heart. I loved Dare’s determination to fight for the love that they share. Not only was this at times extremely emotional it was passionate and romantic. The love of family shines through in this book and I admit that I was moved to tears on a number of occasions, particularly as they discussed Eddie. Dare and Billie are meant to be together and although their journey was rocky, it was worth it.

  • Absolutely Amazing, Emotional and Addictive Read

This is book one in The Whiskeys : Dark Knight's at Redemption Ranch Series and it is Billie and Dare's story and omg it is definitely a must read. Dare, Billie and Eddie for year's as they grew up together and where as Billie and Dare were adrenalin junkies Eddie loved to be the cameraman recording everything that they did together and all there antics and they were as close as three people could ever be and did everything together until a tragic accident caused Eddie to die changing the course of Billie and Dare's life. Billie shut down from her guilt and grief and shut everyone out of her life where as Dare became even more of an adrenaline junkie taking many risk. Now year's later and Billie still hasn't moved forward and still not living her life and Dare is a therapist and council's people on the ranch but still does dangerous stunts and now Dare has had enough and he is determined to bring Billie back into the fold and show her that she is loved and needs to start living again instead of just existing. Wow Wow Wow what I can say is that book took you on the biggest roller coaster ride of emotions that had me crying, laughing and then crying some more so make sure that you have the tissues ready because you are definitely going to need them. This story broke my heart, had me on the edge of my seat and turning the pages until the early hours of the morning as I just couldn't put it down as I had to see what would happen next and it was so addictive. Melissa Foster is an amazing author and writer and her book's have so much depth to them that it makes you go back time and time again to read them and I definitely recommend you read this book and other's by her and you will not be disappointed. I Voluntarily Reviewed a Copy of This Book.
