The Truth About Secrets is a fast-paced, funny and at times emotional story. That reunites childhood sweethearts Clara and Zac after 12 years and lots of heartache, due to miscommunication, childhood insecurities and a bit of meddling. But when Clara returns to her hometown and is faced with her one true love and the truth about what really happened when she was on holiday in France everything changes. And it was an enjoyable, sweet and chemistry filled romance. That was packed with likable and memorable characters. And I honestly couldn't put it down. Would happily recommend. **I was kindly provided with an ARC via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review**

  • A beautiful love story

The Truth About Secrets by L.P. Dover took me through every kind of feels. Sometimes it was heartbreak. Sometimes it was witty and fierce. Sometimes it was swoony. It has some adorable and lovely characters who has a beautiful love story to share. The story line was interesting. From the very beginning, I felt something is not right in the way Clara and Zac's separation occurs. And I was right! Secrets, lies and manipulation tore them apart. But now they are both back in town and they hate each other. Clara is a celebrity publicist and Zac is a successful architect now. Clara's family was rich and well known but Zach can hold is own now. Clara is very vocal, confident and sassy. And Zac can be hot alpha or sweet lover depending on the mood. And I loved their banter and how they tried to out prank each other. The tension and chemistry was reignited as soon as their paths crossed. But they had to work through the mountain of misunderstanding and heartache. They have an easy and heartfelt connection and I was so happy when they got back together. The secondary characters were pretty amazing too. The Truth About Secrets by L.P. Dover was a sweet and swoony second chance romance with some heat. I reviewed an early copy voluntarily

  • Sweet Revenge

I don't know why I went into this book thinking there would be an element of suspense (could be because that's now what I associate LPD with) but I was surprised that there was none. What this is a once lovers turned enemies second chance that I thoroughly enjoyed. Parts were so angsty that I was shedding tears and the banter between Zac and Clara was hilarious. I finished this book thinking Clara and Zac are much much better people than me since I wouldn't forgive and forget nearly as easily as they did. I loved this small town and wouldn't mind another visit.

  • Loved this second chance!!

I really enjoyed Zac and Clara's second chance. The story kept me pulled in, kept my heart involved, and loving the characters. There were moments that had me fuming right along with Clara, heart twisting with her pain, and feeling Zac's connection with her. Great read!

  • Entertaining

5 star review of The Truth About Secrets by L P Dover L.P. Dover is a relatively new author to me but what I have read I have enjoyed. This was an entertaining read and I was hooked on the story that Ms. Dover wove from the first chapter to the last. This is a second chance at love story for Clara and Zac. After a nasty breakup they went their separate ways until fate and a charity auction brings them both back to Snowy Creek, Wyoming and Zac decides the time is right to seek revenge on one another. What follows is an entertaining, at times laugh out loud story that I had a hard time putting down. Neither have really forgotten one another and they are shocked to learn that someone has been interring and keeping them apart for over 10 years. As they work together to track down the truth will it give them a chance to find to re kindle their love or will their past keep them apart? The banter between them was witty and their chemistry is intense. This was a great read that I happily recommend.
