    A Historical Love Story

When I read historical romances, I appreciate certain aspects of a more genteel age, where manners were very important, but when I read how young women were coerced into marriage to save their families from ruin, I cringe. Where men needed titles and a fortune before being considered as suitable marriage partners, and where women could not geneate any income at all. Just awful! This book shows clearly how woman managed to find love, title and a fortne.

    Pretty good

Enjoyable read. Well written with oder dialogue. The main characters are very likable and there is a good amount of humour. There is a lot of historic language and references, some familiar so I had never heard before. I can only assume they are actually from the time. Well paced until then end when it wraps everything up abruptly in about 2 pages, I would have liked a bit of a chance to read about the couple once they got their happily ever after.

    Awesome Historical Romance

The Unflappable Miss Fairchild by Regina Scott is a fantastic historical romance. Ms Scott has delivered a well-written book loaded with amazing characters. Chas and Anne's story is a fast paced, fun read. There's plenty of drama, action, humor and spice to keep readers turning the pages. I enjoyed The Unflappable Miss Fairchild and look forward to reading more from Regina Scott in the future. The Unflappable Miss Fairchild is book 1 of the Rogues and Rakes Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
