    I'm confused

From reading the back of this book I thought this story was about Hank Cooper and Sarah something-or-other. But then I start reading and find out their story is only a very small part of the book. There is also Sarah's brothers story of love, the sheriffs aunts love story and mostly the sheriffs love story to his best friend which is supposed to be the plot of the next book in this series. So ???? To top of the confusion the story was really dry in certain spots. I gave this book 3 stars instead of 2 because if you break the book down into individual mini stories then they were actually quite sweet. But next time a little heads up would be nice cause it's kind of like taking a drink of your pop expecting and anticipating pepsi and instead getting root beer; the root beers not necessarily a bad taste but just not as good a tastes as it would have been had you been expecting it.

    The wanderer

Cute story but very predictable. No mystery in figuring out the end and the typical, Happily Ever After... Quick read and a good rainy weekend bit of entertainment. Enjoy.

    Wanderer

Romance novel with a little murder thrown in as an after thought. I prefer a little more bones to the story.

Robyn Carr is a prolific author who writes many books in a series based on location. "The Wanderer" is no exception and introduces us to a whole town of new characters who in this first novel create a high sense of anticipation. The central character, Hank Cooper, is as we are, new to the town so we are immediately pulled into the story through his feelings of newness. Robyn's development of the main characters involves people of all ages. First there is Hank, a veteran looking for a place to put down roots; the sheriff raising 3 kids alone; the high school quarter back living with his guardian a helicopter pilot for the coast guard; the 3 generation household all making valiant efforts to help each other and several single professionals providing services to the town. With skillful development of all these characters and their life situations the author provides an emotional attachment for readers of all ages and pulls us into the center of Thunder Point one of the most scenic locations on the west coast. This is a wonderful and well written novel that keeps the readers interest beyond the last page and into the next story.
