    An Instant Mood-Lifter!

“I'll put on some Bing and we can believe for a marvelous, miraculous, glorious Christmas season.” Oh my goodness, I love Rachel Hauck’s books. When she announced on her Facebook page that she was planning to write a Christmas book, I had fingers and toes crossed that it would be set in Hearts Bend. Forget Mayberry, forget Stars Hollow . . . I want to live in Hearts Bend. I thoroughly enjoyed every line of this sweet, beautiful love story and didn’t want it to end. The town is filled with fun, quirky characters and lots of Christmassy traditions that will get your heart and mind excited for the season. There’s also a lovely lesson about love being larger and stronger than fear, which is a reminder that I always need to hear. And while I agree that the author does an excellent job of treating this one as a stand-alone book, you’ll enjoy it that much more if you do read the other three in the wedding series (The Wedding Shop is my favorite). Either way, this book is sure to put you in a joyful, ready-for-anything mood just in time for Christmas. Highly recommend this book and ALWAYS this author!

    The Wedding Dress Christmas

The Wedding Dress Christmas is part of Rachel Hauck’s wonderful series, The Wedding Collection. With it being part of a series, I would advise to read The Wedding Dress before this one to get a better understanding of what happens in this one. I loved this charming, magical and heartwarming story. Readers are taken back to the small town of Hearts Bend, Tennessee and introduce the characters of JoJo and Buck. I loved getting to know those, as well as, the others in the beautiful little community. Even though, I was easily able to predict the ending of the story, it did not stop me from the enjoying it anyways. I had no issues having the whole book read in one sitting. The Wedding Dress Christmas is getting four and a half stars from me. I highly recommend it for readers who love a well written and clean read that will warm their heart. I received this book from the publisher. This review is 100% my own honest opinion.

Let it go! Let it go! Let it go!

“You’re too much.” Haley spread her arms wide. “Let go, Jo. Replace all your fears with love.” JoJo Castle returned home after being unable to cope even a year after she was brutally attacked in Dallas where she lived and worked in Public Relations. Now working in her cousin’s bridal shop, JoJo is still dealing with crippling fears that have made her reluctant to go very far. And then, Buck returns. He and she had been inseparable during High School but had gone their separate ways. Now, both were back, but for Buck, for how long? And, could they reconnect? We’re they open to reconnecting? Having read The Wedding Dress many years back, when this one hit my feed, I remembered what a wonderful story it was, and wondered what Rachel Hauck had in store. What a lovely book! Highly Recommended 5/5

    That incredible dress...

From every dark moment, from every trial, every happy moment - He was there all the time. This is a story of a wedding dress that has a history of its own, since it has already been worn by 5 brides. Somehow this ‘magical’ gorgeous dress seems to choose the bride that will wear it regardless of their shape or size. Will fear stop JoJo from trying on the dress? This wonderful novella leaves one with a sigh and the feeling of time well spent. We allow the fears of the past with all those negative memories take over and keep us from trusting enough to ‘try on the dress’! He has been with us all the time - we just need to leave that fear behind and step forward in faith. I received a copy of this novella through Hauck House and CelebrateLit. The impressions, comments and rating were in no way solicited.

    Magical

It’s hard to imagine a magical wedding dress that changes lives so dramatically but this story continues its travels to a new bride. Weddings are so beautiful and “fairytale” but the wedding dress adds new dimensions to a special time in a couple’s life. The man in the purple shirt, a dress that changes styles and sizes to fit the time and size of an intended bride all gives an aura of inspired intervention. Jo has no interest in getting married or even thinking about it. She’s perfectly happy working in the Wedding Shop with her cousin and doing community service for her small town. Something happened to her in her time spent in big city Dallas that caused her to run back to her family. Buck is from this small town and he and Jo have a history together. He’s now a big time country music star that comes home for a two month break from touring. They have totally different goals for their future but past feelings rise once again to the surface. There’s no way they could ever consider a future together. He’s planning a world wide tour, she wants to stay where she is and maybe someday get married and have lots of children. Fear keeps her grounded and home bound. Her career is as important to her as his is to him. There’s no compromise in sight. No happily ever after. Or is there? If you need a bit of magical inspiration to brighten your Christmas or just any time of the year, this is the book for you. It certainly made my heart swell. I received a complimentary ebook copy of this book from the publisher through Celebrate Lit but was not required to write a review positive or otherwise.
