    Emotionally charged story!!!

Very emotional, fantastic mob-style romance. Different territories, different ruling families and someone's bound cross the lines. In the second story of The O'Malleys series it's Carrigan's turn. She doesn't want any of the men her father's chosen for her to marry. She wants the one man she shouldn't want. The one man she can't have. James Halloran. The story is full of sadness, uncaring and crazy fathers and through all the emotional ups and downs, there's love. It's a love that I didn't think was possible. There's so much action in the story that everything happens at a fast pace. For me, it felt like the story only slowed down during those perfectly intimate scenes between James and Carrigan. SIZZLING! There are so many O'Malley siblings and so little time. I can't wait to read more of this series from this amazing author. Received a copy via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I was not compensated for my review. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinion expressed is my own.

Review: The O'Malleys 2: The Wedding Pact

The Wedding Pact by Katee Robert is the second book in her new series, The O'Malleys. We return to the story from where book one left off about four months later. It is told in multiple POV's mostly between the main characters, but we also get a few insights into the secondary characters and their turmoil. Well-written and well-paced it was a very enjoyable read and I can't wait to see what comes next - let the drama begin.

    Hot little sequel!

Oh the suspense with this one!! The Wedding Pact is the second book in the O'Malley's series by Katee Robert and features James and Carrigan (love this name) and a whooooole lot of drama! Its a straight up mafia story - where the crime runs deep and nothing matters to the bosses except coming out on top. They will stop at nothing and nobody gets in their way, not even their own children. James unwittingly becomes the head of his "family" after his father winds up in jail. He kidnaps Carrigan and her sister in law.... Their families are arch enemies. Ohhhh, the drama!! James and Carrigan KNOW how dangerous it is for the two of them to be together, to see each other, to even be seen together. It could mean the difference between life and death. EEK!! The book doesnt release yet for several more days and I wont add any more info to avoid spoiling it. I will stick now to the logistical stuff (boo!). The characters - especially the main characters, James and Carrigan, were nicely developed and had a 3-dimensional feel about them. The storyline flowed well. The editing was clean, no grammar mistakes and only a couple of minor typos. A very nicely put together work. I give The Wedding Pact 3.5 ****WickedGoodStars and will recommend it to readers who like mafia stories, steamy sexy times and series books. Thank you for the opportunity to read/review this book! :)

    I loved this story

I loved this story Carrigan and James were the perfect blend of passion and danger. It makes me want to go back and read book one not that you need to be just because the writing and story flowed so well. It had me guessing as I thought I knew how the story was going to go but definitely fooled me in a good way.

    Love is strange

This is the 2nd book in The O'Malley's series. This book can be read as a standalone novel. For reader understanding and enjoyment, please read this series in order. The contents in later books may have spoilers. Carrigan and James have a hot history of hookups and kidnapping. Complicated does not begin to cover this. They are attracted to each other in a very electric way. James cannot stop thinking about her. He knows her father intends to marry her off to another man and it is eating him alive. Carrigan is out of time and options for her future. James is her one vice. This book was so full of heat it was nearly on fire! The story is fast paced and steady. Some of our favorite characters make appearances too. I think this series is incredible. If you love a slow and fierce burn this is the book! ***This ARC was given by Netgalley and its publishers in exchange for an honest review.
