Did not like, did not finish

I love historical novels, but not poorly written ones. The author claims to have done exhaustive research but the historical parts are full of anachronisms (a 16 year old farmer's daughter in the early 1600s knows how to read and it's not treated as anything special???), and the magic themes are laughably simplistic (a bad warlock makes a deal with Satan to get limitless power!). The titular witch is bland and boring throughout the centuries--despite the author constantly telling us how bold and independent she is--and the only reason she evades the evil warlock hunting her is that he is even MORE stupid than she is (should've made a deal with Satan to get some brains). The 3 historical sections of the book (1600s, Victorian Era, World War I) are identical in plot--literally, the same thing happens in each one and I quit reading at the beginning of the WWI section when it became obvious it was going to follow the formula of the first two. I can't recommend this to anyone, especially not big fans of historical novels.

    The Witch's Daughter

Good book, a little slow to start but the story picks up and leaves you hoping for more.

    Alright read

Good book overall. Kind of tedious, predictable and a small bit silly, the most interesting bits were the "back in time " parts. Maybe just not the book for me.

    Beteer!

Much better than i expected. Characters were built well but the author was a little wordy in some parts. Still enjoyed it
