    Great book!!

This was a really great book to read and very well thought through. It ends really nicely without the reader feeling cheated out of an ending, but still leaving a space to build on the story. Great work and I recommend it. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Overall a good read and well paced.

This was my entry in to the world of Brian Ference. Dorian Grey, freshly turned werewolf, wakes covered in blood and doesn't know what happened. He gets help to escape Britain and travels to China as a seaman on board HMS Victory. We follow his changes and troubles while in China during the war. Overall a good read and well paced.

I thought it was quite an experience reading this book, the challenges were well written and the plot was good as well written scenes make it all come together.

Very enjoyable book for something out of my typica

Brian Ference gifted me this book in return for an honest review. I told him that I typically did not read this genre. I do read a wide range of books, so I accepted the book. He told me The Wolf of Dorian Gray was mature content and comparable to Game of Thrones. A show I have only watched a little of. I did hope he was referring more to the sexual content and not the gruesome content, he wasn’t As a female who reads more romance than any other genre and who writes romance I was looking for more sexual content. I didn’t find an interest in the gory parts, although they were not that gross so I won’t be having nightmares. I can’t say if those parts of the book are what a typical reader wants, but I can say they were done with skill and fit the story. The book as a whole is well written. An enjoyable read. The story flows and each chapter made me what to see what happens next. Brian has a talent with words even if a few are so old fashioned I had to look them up. I have not read a historical fiction novel of any genre in many years and this book made me want to pick up a historical romance again. For a first novel, that does not reference an editor, Brian did an amazing technical job. For all those skeptical about reading an indie book that may contain errors you will not find that issue with his novel. The story does seem a little drawn out in the early chapters, this happens often as a reader is grasping the story. Therefore, I accept it, but the end does move way quicker. Brain is very descriptive in all the scenes of this book, but not as descriptive with emotions. Again perhaps being more knowledgeable with romance novels I may be looking for something that isn’t standard in this style of writing. I will admit I found the book more enjoyable than I expected. My curiosity to see what happens is peaked, especially since I feel like the end moved to fast as if Brian wasn’t planning a sequel. I would recommend this book for anyone who likes this genre as well as for anyone who wants to branch out.
