    Excellent Read

As tough as the subject is-this is an incredible read. It was easy to follow and connect the characters lives. It was so real, raw and messy-just like life! We so want an easy and immediate solution and we find in this story heart wrenching choices.

    Great story

A fast moving story about three women who come together from different backgrounds. Filled with surprises and shows the power and strength that women have when put to the test. This book shows the war from a different perspective and the ending leaves room for another book. I enjoyed it.

    Women in the Castle

The book was well written. The characters of the women in the story are interesting and well developed . It would have been nice to have some additional women in the castle and some more detail about the men at the beginning. Overall an enjoyable read.

    The Women in the Castle

Often confusing, but more often sad. It's just amazing how so many knew I'd the atrocities being committed and carried those beliefs in their hearts. Until the end, I really didn't care for Marienna with her air of superiority. She refused to accept that everyone, including her and her family, didn't deserved to he treated as equal to her. She really had no moral compass until after tragedy struck her in the face. For the longest time, she didn't realize that she was the kne deprived of warmth and love. I guess it's just as well that she could at least feel a bit of empathy. It is so hard for high and mighty to admit fault.
