  • Crazy, Twisted Suspense

Whoa! What a crazy, twisted suspense! Parts gave me chills and made me uncomfortable to read. Every time I thought I had a grasp on what was really happening, I was thrown by a twist to an alternative truth which had me questioning everything. Loved the flawed characters and the original storyline. This book was a page turner for me and I had a hard time setting it down.

  • The Wrong Family Indeed!

Ms. Fisher absolutely blew my mind with this new thriller! The chaos was epically written and the twists and turns had me gasping for air and wanting to keep reading to find out more! This is a story with so many underlying themes, all of them written with a realism and persuasiveness that had me believing the unbelievable moments! The way that Juno and Winnie were so different, yet you could see the similarities was captivating! The way that assumptions were made and the decisions and righteousness that came from those assumptions were riveting!  Oh and the characters, the main characters in this story! How I fluctuated between cheering them on for doing the right thing, only to later on when the truth came out to be asking how could they?  My emotions were all over the place and I loved it! That is a true testament to the writing talent of Ms. Fisher! This story is going to grab you by the throat and not let you go until the very end! And what an ending it was! If you are looking for an exciting, thrilling, and keep you guessing story, look no further than The Wrong Family!

  • Gripping and Suspenseful

In usual Tarryn Fisher style this one kept me guessing from beginning to end. In the first half of the story I often felt confused and struggled to stay invested but the second half was complete with twists and turns I could have never been prepared for. Tarryn is an incredible author. Her thrillers are like nothing you will ever read and for that alone I recommend reading this book. The book is told in two points of view. Winnie and Juno. From the outside Winnie appears to be living the perfect life with her husband and son but as the story unfolds we learn that their life is anything but perfection. Juno is a complicated woman. She has come to live with the Crouch’s and overhears something she just can’t unhear and how the story unfolded from this point on was one twist after the next. The writing is gripping, thrilling and will keep you on the edge of your seat. This book is best read if you go in blind with no spoilers.

  • A very disturbing story

"The Wrong Family" Is the story of Winnie and Nigel and their son Sam. Living in Seattle, Winnie and Nigel have a secret which has deeply affected them. Juno, a former psychotherapist, is now a homeless woman. Looking for a place to take refuge, she stalks Winnie and Nigel before sneaking into their large home where she proceeds to live secretly. After overhearing conversations, Juno thinks she knows their secret and is determined to reveal it. While a readable book, I found the story very unrealistic and disturbing.

  • A twisted, tangled thriller

I love a Tarryn Fisher thriller. There are a few things that you can be guaranteed when you pick one up. One, the characters will be completely messed up but messed up in even more ways than you think, and that reveal is going to be good. Two, it’s going to be a tangled and twisted ride. The Wrong Family has both of these things. There were times when I thought I’d figured it out, thinking that the reveals and revelations weren’t as big as I’d hoped. Then I realized why… because I was utterly wrong. That’s what I love about her thrillers. They twist and turn, and just when I think I have it figured out, I realized just how wrong I was. I love that in a thriller. The story is told through the perspectives of two women, Juno and Winnie. They were complex characters who were somehow both likable and unlikable, dependent upon both the perspective and the events of the story. Juno, a woman who has found herself in a life she never imagined, moves in with Winnie and her family. She was certain she knew them, but time will tell her that there are dynamics between the Crouches she never imagined. And Winnie seems like a woman who has it all… a handsome husband, a beautiful home in a sought after part of town, a great son. But Winnie’s life is far from the carefully created vision of perfection. And that’s all I’m going to say because this is a book that needs to be read with no preconceived notions about it! My recommendation: If you love a twisted, tangled thriller, this is a book that will captivate you and have you turning the pages from start to finish!
