An absolute must-read!!!

I would endure bitter, cold weather for just a small taste of Ethan Jackson! Goodness gracious….The Wrong Kind of Love is all kinds of RIGHT! It’s sweet, salacious, and heartbreakingly beautiful, wrapped up in a to-die-for cover! This love story takes you on the wild ride of secrets, lies, and betrayal, while further enticing you with the sinfully provocative relationship between boss and employee. This story isn’t your common hot daddy/nanny story, but a romance that challenges the character’s ability to look past what’s right in front of them, and look deeper into the soul of a person. I loved this book! The storyline, characters, and intensely raw emotions were a stunning blend that simply radiate off the pages! An absolute must-read!!! 5 Stars!

    Raw passion fill the pages...

A completely new, endearing, refreshing contemporary series from Lexi Ryan that will be melting hearts and new book boyfriends will be stealing the spotlight. The Wrong Kind of Love is the first book in Lexi’s The Boys of Jackson Harborseries and it’s one that can’t be missed. This story is sweet, sexy and a touch of naughty. Trust, fear and insecurity issues are tested between two broken souls that are trying to find their ways/ find themselves. There is just enough angst to keep the fluidity flowing, enough humor to crack the drama and the amount of intense sexual chemistry was off the charts hot! Uprooting her life due to an embarrassing wedding fiasco, Nicole Maddox finds herself in Jackson Harbor, Michigan. To find solace and peach within herself and taking on a nanny job, she ultimately finds broody Dr. Ethan Jackson and his precious daughter Lilly. Secrets, betrayal and omissions unravel putting Nicole and Ethan in compromising positions. Can Ethan’s heart warm to love again after the death of his wife, even when he learns the truth about Nicole in the end? “I’ve been suffocating with grief for three years, and when I touch you, I can breathe again.” Lexi knows how to construct her stories, develop raw, emotional characters and bring on the heat. I really enjoyed The Wrong Kind of Love and Lexi has a winner on her hands. Raw passion fill the pages and you will find yourself looking forward to the next book. 4 Jackson Stars

This book has lots of good nature banter

Lexi Ryan does a great job building a storyline between Ethan and Nicole, the wrong kind of love seems to be the right kind of good nature romance. It all starts with Nicole's big day, where she is ready to settle down and start a family, only to find out that her groom started without her since he already knocked up her twin sister. This leaves Nicole with the horrifying reality that she will not be married and needs to leave the town she grew up in so she doesn't have to face the embarrassment of being the talk of the town. Nicole goes on an adventure by taking her twin's new job in a small town in Michigan called Jackson Harbor, on her first night there she decided to drown her sorrows in lots of tequila and that only leads to a interesting encounter with a hot stranger. Though all this sounds cliché it only gets more complicated with the choices Nicole makes and the promise that she is supposed to keep. The interesting dynamic that Nicole and Ethan have keeps you glued to the book wanting to know what will happen and how will key people react to all the secrets being hidden. On top of all these secrets lies a great chemistry between Nicole and Ethan. This whole forbidden love thing that goes on through the book only adds in spiking up the sexual tension between Ethan and Nicole and once that snaps there is no one who can say that these two individual aren't perfect for each other. My Only ISSUE!!! I felt that Lexi was to lenient on how she handled the situation between Nicole and Veronica, I would have slapped my sister if she ever did or acted like Veronica acted towards Nicole throughout this story. This book has lots of good nature banter between family, a adorable 6 yr. old who steals everyone's heart, noisy town folks, and hot sex scenes. I would definitely recommend this book to my fellow book lovers and I will be patiently waiting to read the rest of the Jackson family stories. Reviewed by: Glori I.

Great Start to a New Series!!

Actual Rating 4.5 Stars! Love born in a lie is the wrong kind of love. It has been awhile since I read Lexi Ryan. The Wrong Kind of Love (The Boys of Jackson Harbor #1) reminded me why I love her writing. This was fun, flirty, and fresh! Nicole(Nic) is on the run. She was just destroyed by those she thought loved her, but they were selfish. She was standing up at the altar, ready to say I do, when her twin sister decides to let things go(literally) and Nicole finds out the truth. Her sister was doing her dirty by sleeping with her fiance and she’s pregnant with his baby, oh man. Devastated and embarrassed Nic runs away like the wind, and doesn’t look back. She needs a place to go to hide out and get her self together, she decides to take her sisters place and lands in the Jackson Harbor, Michigan. What she doesn’t expect is her life is about to take a turn drastically. Ethan Jackson, Dr. Ethan Jackson is a single dad, who after three years is still not over the loss of his wife. He’s not looking for a relationship, he has too much on his hands. He works a ton of hours, raises a daughter and doesn’t want the emotional involvement. His family is all he needs, not someone who wants to come in and change everything. However, when he spots a beautiful stranger at his brother’s bar drinking, he notices that she has a sadness about her. That is something he understands all too well. Who is this beautiful girl? These two have great emotional and physical chemistry. I know that Nicole had some major insecurities and as we read more into the story, you understand why she feels that way. Why she thinks she isn’t good enough. Ethan is so stuck with guilt from his past, I understood his need to push people away that could give him an emotional connection. These two were made for each other. They built one another up and they really were the only two who could find their way out of their mindsets together. I loved these two together! Okay seriously where are these Jackson men hiding out? Levi, Carter, Jake...yes please! I want them all to myself and I don’t want to share. Shay I am hoping we get a story with her because this girl is hiding something, I just know it! Lilly was the cutest little girl. I loved the connection she had with all her uncles, aunt and grandma. But her instant connection with Nicole was my favorite. They just clicked and I loved how Ethan always seemed to put Lilly first. My only drawback from the story was her sister. I would have been all over her, but I get it that is not how Nic was. I wish we would have gotten some more dialogue with Marcus. I wanted Nic to just unleash on these two. However, I realize the story was more about these two find one another and healing, then about revenge. Two hearts becoming one and getting over the obstacle of guilt, secrets and lies. But will the secrets destroy them? This was full of fun, sexiness, a little angst and some humor! Each family member brings a little some thing more to the story. The Wrong Kind of Love is a book you don’t want too miss! I am so glad I jumped to read this because I was left with a huge smile on my face at the end and I didn't want to put this down while reading it. Lexi just showed me again why I love her writing! 4.5 Lillypad Stars

A Romance with Plenty of Heart!

This is a sweet romance that I enjoyed very much, and look forward to reading more about the Boys of Jackson Harbour. We meet Nicola who runs to Jackson Harbour when she finds out, just as she has walked down the aisle that her twin sister Veronica is pregnant with her fiancée’s baby. Fleeing she grabs the wrong bag and ends up with her sisters bag so with her ID ends up where Veronica was going to work for Dr McMoody pants Ethan Jackson a widower with a young daughter Lily who needs so one look after her. So against her better judgement Nic stands in for her sister. The first night there she meets a man in the bar and while tipsy ends up taking him to her room at the hotel. The man refuses to take advantage of her drunken state. We all know whats going to happen, you guessed it her employer turns out to be Dr Ethan Jackson McMoody Pants. This is the first of the Jackson brothers to get his woman. Nic ends up working for Ethan, even though the sexual tension is high. This is story of two broken people learning to trust and to love again. As we know the path to true love never runs smooth, but at least runs the right way. An enjoyable romance with plenty of heart, and lots of handsome Jacksons to look forward to.
