    Thanks for your feedback!

This was a great read. A beautiful blend of sci-fi and romance. The POV alternates between our heroes, Lilac and Tarver, and they just come to life in this story. In the beginning, they remind of Rose and Jack on the sinking Titanic (Titanic in space!) They're from two different places in their society but they must soon learn to work together to survive on an abandoned planet. The planet itself is one big, intriguing mystery. You never know what unusual thing is going to happen next. The ending was a great too, with an unexpected twist. Looks like this is a planned series, with the next book in the trilogy about a new couple within the same universe. Can't wait to read it!

This book was really good. I really enjoyed all the characters and the whole story and the idea of the new planet, and the weird spirit thingies in the portal. I did not see lilac's death coming but im so glad she came back because tarver was sooooo sad. This book was really well written and i really enjoyed it.

    Mind Blowing!!

There are books where the writing is phenomenal, others that paint a scene for the reader and many that do both. Then there are books that are carefully crafted, so ingeniously formatted and written and that take their readers on a journey that insights creative thought, moral questioning, heart-stopping plot twists and an overall plot that leaves a mark on your heart. That's what "These Broken Stars" does. I've read other sci-fi novels and while they too are thrilling, Kaufman takes all of the things that make a superior sci-fi novel and kicks it up to a level of planetary proportions. At the same you still have the classic elements like Tarver and Lilac, two of the most opposite beings in the universe thrown together by tragedy and forced to survive together because each has something that the other doesn't. On a planet with more questions than answers, led by something bigger than either of them it's going to take both their skills to find those answers. Along the way they will both change in strengths, comes to terms with weaknesses, learn to put faith in each other and find something that neither of them are even knew they were looking for. I can't say enough how completely thrilling it was to read this book. The interview dialogue proceeding the chapters tie everything together in an unexpected way and were a beautiful solution to weaving the plot. I would recommend this story. I would recommend this story to anyone I can't wait for the next book!
