Sweet & Spicy GFY Friends-to-Lovers Romance

✩ ✩ ✩ ✩ FOUR-STAR ✩ REVIEW ✩ ✩ ✩ ✩ > > Judging a Book by it's Cover < < Winding road through the desert provides very little, visually, to catch the eye. The book only caught my attention when the publisher spotlighted it in a Daily Deal. The synopsis is what grabbed me. > > Looking Deeper < < POV ~> First person narrative, Finn's perspective Boys will be boys, regardless the obstacles and struggles that may be in the way. For childhood buddies, Nate and Finn, their friendship was tested early on and only grew stronger after a serious accident. They endured the trials of high school and college together and eventually moved in together - as best friends. Before long, Finn's 30th birthday approached and Nate had an elaborate plan: A cross-country trip and bucket list of 30 things to do in 30 days, before Finn turns 30. The guys were very likable, their chemistry was sweet and spicy. The few secondary cast were more like cameo fillers. This really was about Nate and Finn's journey, on the road and in their relationship. Any misunderstandings or miscommunications were resolved quickly, avoiding undue angst and drama. The plot was entertaining and it flowed nicely. That said, it felt like it was longer than 210 pages. Maybe due to all the content packed into their adventure. I'd guessed #30's task before they left their first stop, unfortunately, but enjoyed reading how it all played out. I was disappointed in the abrupt ending. I would have liked to see them make it back home, at least. Maybe even adopt that puppy that Finn had wanted so badly. The conclusion barely implied that they'd get their HEA before it's over. Overall, a delightful read, filled with post card quality adventures from all across the U.S.! #FriendsToLovers #GayForYou #Bi #BiSexual .
