    Sweet faith-based romance

This was a sweet, faith-based, fun book. Dottie Hart is headed cross-country to California when she comes across a teenage girl hitchhiking to the small town of Mule Deer, Texas. She takes the girl to the town, which has been advertising for wives for the lonesome cowboys who live there, planning to drop her off and continue on her way. Sheriff Brady Cannon is too busy for love - but when he and Dottie meet, they just want to spend more and more time with each other. This book can be read as a standalone story, though it is the third in a series with related characters. I have enjoyed the first three books in this series and am looking forward to reading more, as well as others by this author.

    A Solid Christian Story

This next edition features Sheriff Brady Cannon and newcomer, Dottie Hart. I'm leaning toward placing this one at the top of the list so far - not for its humor, but for its depth of the message it gives. Surrounding an obvious romance is a larger story that gives a very clear Christian message of faith and trust in God. It also focuses on family and commitment to that family. Yes, the reader still gets to enjoy all the antics of the townsfolk and their matchmaking attempts, but the real story lies in what the author presents to those who seek a solid Christian story. Romance - PG - a couple of kisses with minimal description Language - clean My rating - 5 stars
