    Beautifully Conceptualized

After reading These Broken Stars I knew I would be in for a thrilling ride with These Shattered Worlds, but this sequel completely blew away my expectations. Impossibly, this installment was more visually stimulating than the first. The illustration of Jubilee's dreams was imaginative and fantastic. Jubilee is a brilliant and complex character and the perfect yang to Flynn's yin. We didn't get much diversity of characters in the last book which is understandable, but the author definitely made up for it with this line up for diverse personalities from Molly to Sofia, who I am really hoping to see make an appearance in the next book. I love the tug of war interaction between Jubilee and Flynn, which certainly came off more genuine considering their war ridden environment and their mutually broken backgrounds. These two characters managed to be dependent on each other while still retaining their individual strengths as characters and keeping focus on their goal despite their feelings and what they wanted. It creates the image of two stunning characters. I was also really happy to see the Whispers make another appearance though I'm not surprised. The Whispers make another appearance and continue to sadden and awe me. These Shattered Worlds is a beautiful blending of imagery and inventive concept, dreams and reality, past and present. I can't wait to see the next adventure and see what world the author brings us to next.

A new and refreshing series that leaves you guessing. Can't wait until the next installment to find out what happens.
