    Good thriller

This is the second book I've read by this author and really enjoy her work. She keeps you hanging on with each page turning and makes you not want to put the book down. About 3 sisters on the run from being abused by a drunk father. I would recommend this writer to everyone and she's Canadian to boot!

    those girls

I thought it was a great book keeps you on the edge of your seat. You feel compassion for the characters throughout the story. I have read all of Chevy Stevens books I have not been disappointed yet they were all great reads

I liked this novel a lot

I have always liked Chevy Stevens' books, but this one topped them all. The story is intense and full of love between sisters. Those girls had a horrible life and just when things are looking up, it all goes to crap again. The evil men in this story are exceptionally loathsome and I really wanted everything to turn out well. There were a few hiccups with the story, some parts were just a bit unbelievable, but nothing that made me want to stop reading.

    Chevy just keeps getting better

I have read most of Chevy Stevens novels, have enjoyed them all, but this one is definitely my favourite. When three sisters escape from a life of constant abuse after one tragic night, they thought they put all the terrible things behind them. How could they know that even a bigger hell awaited them. While I loved this book, that time with Gavin and Brian was so difficult to read and my heart broke for the three of them. Fast forward to present day, it's now 18 years later and we see what became of the three girls. The story is told in alternate first person between the youngest sister and one of the sister's daughters. While they may have escaped their past, they haven't escaped the scars from it and are haunted still by what happened to them.
