    Excellent historical fiction

Just when I thought I'd figured out who the characters really were and what they were feeling, the plot thickened. This book was a lot of fun to read.

Well done - the two are woven into the plot.

Outstanding. I was very much intrigued by the research done around mining in that era. Recommended without reservation.

    Thunder and Roses

The tale of Nicolas and Clare is highly enjoyable. You get to journey with them as they first match off in a battle of wits, then loyalties and finally love. This is a good book with interesting characters and a solid story.

Thunder and Roses by Mary Jo Putney

I absolutely loved this book. I could not turn the pages quickly enough. I hadn't read Mary Jo Putney for a few years (don't know why not) but will definitely look for more of her books. Well worth 5 stars
