    Awesome

Tight Quarters is the 6th book in the Out of Uniform series. Each book in the series stand alone so it's not necessary to read the previous books to enjoy this one. This is a very well done M/M romance and I loved Bacon and Spencer together. When Bacon is first tasked with babysitting the reporter that is being embedded in the SEAL teams he's not very happy. One look at Spencer Bryant and Bacon knows he's in all kinds of trouble if he doesn't get his raging libido under control. After spending some time with Spencer, Bacon knows it's too late. He's a goner. Great read that everyone who enjoys M/M romances will enjoy. I recommend it.

Another awesome story in a great series

Often when I'm reading a romance with a significant amount of angst, I find that the drama is lessened because there's a fairly obvious way for the couple to compromise and find their way through whatever is keeping them apart. The main dilemma for Bacon and Spencer was more anguishing because I really couldn't see where the compromise was going to be for Spencer and Bacon. That kept me on the edge of my seat right up to the end. I also absolutely loved the idea behind Bacon reclaiming his name through Spencer's eyes. The writing was so well done as the third person reference changed to fit whether "self" Bacon was experiencing at the time. Names and identity are important to me so that really stuck out.

Gutted me in the best way; I loved it!

It just boggles my mind how Annabeth Albert keeps coming up with such wonderful, heart-wrenching stories for this series. She talks openly about struggling sometimes as a writer and I'm here to say that Annabeth, your struggles are worth it for what you give to your readers. I don't mean that I like that she must struggle, I just want to let her know that her efforts are sincerely appreciated by this fan and I'm sure her other fans would agree. Tight Quarters is the sixth book in the Out of Uniform series but it stands alone just fine. I can't recommend the other books in this series highly enough though, so if you like Tight Quarters I know you will enjoy the other ones as well. I'm not a good person for remembering details from one book in a series to the next. That doesn't mean that I don't love them, just that I read so many books that it's hard for me to keep story details straight from one book to the next. I think other readers have been waiting for Bacon's story while I'm just waiting for the next any story from Annabeth and boy did she deliver with this one. There's an age gap between Bacon and Spencer but it's not focused on much throughout the book. What is focused on is being part of a team and still needing to connect with a soulmate. What starts out as a dreaded "babysitting" job for Bacon later turns into so much more between him and Spencer. The blurb is good but it doesn't really begin to convey the depth of feeling that grows gradually between these two men. Yes, they have hot as fire sex with each other but eventually it becomes even more, though neither one seems ready to admit it. They have a huge conflict, which seems insurmountable, but love will eventually win out and they get a very satisfying HFN (happy for now). I really want/need to read more about Bacon and Spencer; I hope we hear from them again in later books in this series. I know that all series must come to an end at some point but I really want this one to continue for many more books. Thank you, Annabeth, for making the tears (both happy and sad) flow once again. I love it when you do that to me. 😊 A review copy was provided by the publisher via NetGalley but this did not influence my opinion or rating of the book. ***Reviewed for Xtreme-Delusions dot com***

A more sedate pass than expected.

✩ ✩ ✩ ✩ FOUR-STAR ✩ REVIEW ✩ ✩ ✩ ✩ > > Judging a Book by it's Cover < < Two shirtless guys stand in a tight embrace with a fairly plain and nondescript background. Strong title and author fonts. This is another author that I do not read the synopsis for any longer, knowing that I enjoy her writing style and characters, I tend to jump in with both feet. > > Looking Deeper < < POV ~> Third Person This story focused on Bacon and a journalist that was given the unheard of opportunity to embed with a Spec Ops team, Bacon's SEAL team. Minorly injured from a previous incident, Bacon was delegated to be Spencer's babysitter (Handler) for as long as he was on base or with the team. The lead characters were likable. The secondary cast, both new and old, were entertaining. The chemistry between the two men was magnetic, but professionalism kept them at arms' length. Dialogue was smart and enjoyable. The plot was good but lacked some of the excitement and/or tension a few of the other books had. The writing style was smooth and it made for a truly pleasurable reading experience. Predictability was low. The conclusion was passable with an implied HEA. Overall, I love this author and series. I felt this story makes a fantastic addition to the series. . Playful, sexy, and full of genuine emotion!

Tight Quarters is a gritty, sensual, military romance featuring the reliable, confident, skilled Petty Officer Bacon and the mature, principled, successful Spencer Bryant as they learn firsthand the power of attraction and discover a sense of purpose, passion, and fulfillment beyond their careers. The writing is ardent and fluid. The characters are hot-blooded, tenacious, and supportive. And the alluring plot is a perfect mix of slowing burning seduction, suspense, danger, action, adventure, palpable chemistry, SEAL team dynamics, journalistic integrity, and unconditional love. Tight Quarters is the sixth novel in the Out of Uniform series, and it’s definitely one of my favourites. I’m not sure how Albert continues to do it, but this series keeps getting better and better and continues to leave me wanting more.
