  • Sam and Henry

Just...WOW! This one just grabbed me and didn't let go. The jump from past to present enhanced the story as we watch Sam and Henry begin their relationship and the beginning of their time apart until their reconciliation. The other members on the island with Henry added a lot of depth and I loved getting to know each of them. There are a few moments that made me snicker as they learn to navigate living on an island. It broke my heart to see both Sam grieving Henry's 'death' and Henry grieving the possibility of Sam moving on to a new relationship. More than once I had a few tears. Poor Sam has to clean up the mess that occurs when Henry is found and I felt so bad for Nash. His anger and frustration felt very real. He was losing the man he loved to what was supposed to be a ghost. I adored Sam's family and cheered when 'Buddy's' family chose what was best for him by leaving him with Henry and Sam. It was wonderful seeing them create a bigger family instead of fighting. I would recommend reading Okay, Then as it is the prequel to this book. It isn't necessary but adds to the enjoyment of the story.

    Thanks for your feedback!
