  • To Dwell in Darkness

This is a very good read. The cases come together in an intriguing way. One of the things I like about this author is how she brings the domestic details of a very diverse and wonderful family and circle of friends into a story that deals primarily with crime and police work. This book leaves a lot of questions unanswered and leaves you eagerly awaiting the next chapter in the lives of Gemma and Duncan.

  • An engrossing read

Another enthralling & engrossing mystery featuring Duncan Kincaid & Emma James. Duncan with the help of friends & former colleagues investigates an explosion at a London tube station & a mysterious disappearance. Emma, on the other hand, is involved in solving the murder a young girl; but much of her story centres on her home life. After the cliff hanger ending, I am really looking forward to the next in this delightful series.

  • Another great chapter in the Kincaid-James series!

Loved this addition to the series! Really enjoyed the common thread woven through the last edition, this volume and what is to come in "Garden of Lamentations"! Crombie expertly weaves the police, crime procedural, with a mystery/thriller story arc with the personal lives of the Kincsid-James clan of family and friends!
