    Historical Romance

A difficult mother, an unwanted marriage, swapping out the betrothed female for another, secrets, scandal, debts and a duel are part and parcel of this story. Jeremy and Eliza both agreed to the marriage without expecting to have more than an emotionless, loveless duty-filled relationship but over time grew to know one another and in so doing fall in love – a deeper abiding love than one based on some others. There were some rather unbelievable bits in with some very believable ones. What I liked: * Eliza’s strength and practical nature * Eliza’s ability to care for others – animal and human * Jeremy’s desire to be an honorable man * Jeremy’s desire to make Eliza’s duty in bed a pleasure instead of a chore * The true caring that developed between H/h * The element of music – I have a violin and sometimes think of playing it again (as Jeremy What I didn’t like: * Eliza’s mother and her controlling nature and scathing tongue * Domnall – if you read the book you will see why * did) * I sometimes wanted more information about some of the characters (but if I had read the previous books in the series perhaps I would have that backstory) * Captain Pearson’s callous words (though Jeremy’s made up for them) All in all it was an entertaining way to spend the afternoon and I would like to thank NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for the ARC – This is my honest review. 3-4 Stars

    I Loved It

Jeremy Landon, the Earl of Bennington has spent the last ten years trying to restore the reputation of his family. The previous Earl, his uncle owed a fortune in debts to lots of people. Jeremy has paid them all except one, who will not accept his offer of payment. When Lady Elizabeth Rosamund Burke hears what her mother has demanded, she knows she must make sure that never happens. Eliza's deception will affect the lives of many people. The scandal that could arise is just what nobody wants. There is quite a mystery behind our heroine's life. A lovely gentle romance with interesting characters. It is part of a series, so you will meet some characters from previous books, but this is easily read as a stand alone. I loved it.

Casts a spell not easily broken.

Dire straits brought them together, will unexpected love tear them apart? Reading an Ingrid Hahn always keep me on my toes. The pace moves so fast that, it's easy to get lost in the shuffle. With Jeremy and Eliza, this proved not to be an issue. To Seduce A Lady's Heart cast a spell not easily broken. From desperation of circumstances to the emotions bubbling over within their hearts, Ms. Hahn has a firm hand on the reins as Lord and Lady set about stealing the heart.
