    Charming historical Regency!

Charming historical Regency! What a real treat! I really spent a delightful afternoon reading Collette Cameron's 4th story, To Tame a Scoundrel's Heart! It's well written, romantic and amusing! I really love her fantastic series, A Waltz with a Rogue! 1819, England, this time it's the story of Dominic St. Monté and Katrina Needham! Dominic, a sea captain, enjoys his life, being free, until he unexpectedly inherits a dukedom, becomes a duke, who has to care of his young sisters. To help him in his new responsibilities, he'll need a wife. Meanwhile Katrina, is waiting for Richard's proposal, until she discovers him with another woman. Since, Dominic, is searching for a wife, she'll help him find one, but in the process, sparks flare all over, between her and this dashing duke, AKA The Saint of the Sea. Beautiful chemistry between the two! Loved the characters and the storyline! I recommend this novella, specially if you love Ms. Cameron's series, A Waltz with a Rogue! You won't be disappointed!

    Awesome!!!

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this story , I found Katrina an entertaining young woman who was in love with Major Domont , waiting for him to pop the question any day now. While visiting her mothers old governess Aunt Bertie she meets her handsome nephew Nic the Captain St.Montė who gained a Dukedom . Being the Duke of Pendergast has its challenges as a Captain and a privateer he needed to polish his manners and to find a possible candidate for a wife so he can have guardianship of his younger sisters , so he enlists the help of Katrina . Katrina tries hard to find a suitable candidate for Nic but finds fault with all the young women she thinks of. Meanwhile Nic has fallen in love with her, she is everything he can possibly want in a Duchess. Knowing she is almost betrothed he really can't hope to make her his wife, until rumours of her Major with another woman are made publicly at a supper her parents were hosting. I loved the way Collette Cameron gives such emotion to her characters , even though this was a short read it was entertaining and I loved it . I received this ARC from the author for my honest review.

    Masterfully written tale!

To Tame a Scoundrel's Heart by Collette Cameron is #4 in her "A Waltz with a Rogue" series, but can be read as a stand alone. * This is a novella* Steady paced, quick read! With interesting and engaging characters, a unique storyline, witty banter and romance. I enjoy Ms. Cameron's witty banter among her characters, it gives her stories a down to earth feel, as well as, a bit of humor (sometimes dry, sometimes not) within her stories. After all, life does bring on some sunshine after the rain. The H/H are interesting, and engaging. The storyline is compelling, and very engaging. A secret or two, didn't go amiss, along with a pirate, whose not only a rogue but a scoundrel. A feisty, strong-willed heroine, who enjoys helping others. With some betrayal, passion and a bit of Scandal. Take a quick Regency English romp through the pages of "To Tame a Scoundrel's Heart". You're be glad you did, I sure did. Share a bit of Ms. Cameron and her masterfully written tales, in "To Tame a Scoundrel's Heart". An enjoyable and very satisfying read! Received for an honest review from the author. The opinions are my own. Rating: 4.5 Heat rating: Mild Reviewed by: AprilR

    wildly romantic & pricelessly comical

Cameron never fails to bring a smile to my face while creating a uniquely captivating romance. This tale is no exception. It was romance at its most basic level wound up in a comical tale that kept me on the edge of my seat. The plot was light but enriching, providing the best of all worlds to romance lovers. At the same time, Cameron brings the Victorian Era to life in a manner that allows readers to experience it without getting bogged down in technicalities. The main characters in this novel were priceless. When you take a privateer cum Duke and turn him loose with a not-quite-proper lady and antics will follow. Cameron takes it even further, giving readers realistic and loveable individuals to journey with. Surrounding them with a secondary cast that are just as loveable and quite well developed, and Cameron has a winner with these individuals. To top it off, I absolutely love the curse words that he characters use. They were perfect. They never failed to make me giggle while also highlighting the ways that the times have changed. As a whole this was a pricelessly romantic and wildly comical novella that held my attention from cover to cover. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this to anyone and I also can’t wait to see what Rogue she comes up with next. Please note that I received a complimentary copy of this work in exchange for an honest review.

Another EXCELLENT Story by Collette Cameron

Katrina Needham was happy, in love, and anxiously waiting for the day she gets married; the only hitch in her plan is the man who states he loves her and wants to marry her has yet to ask. Off on duties for the military he keeps promising he’ll speak with her father when he returns. Weeks have passed with no word from him - so what’s a girl to do while waiting? A chance meeting gives her something to occupy her time and possibly more. Dominic St. Monté just inherited the last thing he wants – a bloody title complete with sisters and responsibilities that will keep him bound to the land. What’s a new Duke to do? Marry of course and preferably a respectable, mild mannered lady who has no problem with her husband returning to his one true love – the sea. But how and where is on to find such a lady? A chance meeting may prove to be the solution or create a problem. From their first meeting Dominic proves he is more than what Katrina has heard which may be more than she can handle. Katrina demonstrates everything Dominic wants in a wife, the only thing standing in his way – her almost engagement and his longing to return to sea. Add in a harpy, eccentric aunt, three sisters and the return of Katrina’s almost fiancée and you have a great story. Top it off with Collette Cameron’s unique wit and writing style and you have an exceptional story.
