    Julie was their common ground!

This is book 7 in the Cupid, Texas series and it features Rhett and Tara. These two grew up on the same ranch. While his father owned it, her parents were ranch foreman and housekeeper. A couple of her sisters are married to a couple of his brothers. I found it so beautiful that Julie would have all these amazing family members to help raise her. I absolutely LOVED watching Rhett fall in love with his daughter. Tara was pretty fickle with her feelings towards Rhett. At first there was A LOT of animosity coming from her and just flirting from him but then all of the sudden they were in love. I just felt that there should’ve been more of a transition between those two stages. This story is about discovering who you are, discovering what’s really important in life, family, love and the humming. Can’t forget the humming!

    Surprise - You're a Dad!

Rhett Lockhart is a skilled bull rider with plenty of swagger. He's always ready for a good time and sees no appeal in anything permanent. Tara Alzate has always been the responsible one and a caretaker by nature. She wants permanent more than anything, specifically to be able to adopt the infant she's fostering. Loved the characters. Rhett is likable from the beginning, but it's easy to see why folks have doubts about his maturity. Tara is relatable and layered and genuine. They aren't an obvious match, which adds an interesting element to their burgeoning attraction. Also loved the passel of secondary characters - mostly his family and hers - and what they added to the story. They made me wish I could visit the Silver Feather Ranch and meet them all. Normally, I get impatient if the main couple doesn't seal the deal by at least the halfway point, but despite Rhett and Tara's slow build, there was plenty of sexual tension along the way to keep it interesting. And the wait time worked well for the characters and their story. Loved the writing, loved the characters, loved the story - loved the book! Elements of the story line might be a trigger for anyone sensitive to the topics of babies born premature, parental abandonment, custody battles, or adoption.

    Sexy, sassy and sweet ...

The wandering playboy finally becomes a man. To Tame A Wild Cowboy goes from hopelessly immature to coming of age. Lori Wilde shows us the beauty of growing up and the heartache of falling in love. Rhett is in for the surprise of his life times two. One adorable baby girl will change two lives and help two lost hearts finally find their way home. Wilde put the three S's on display. Sexy, sassy and sweet will steal away with any heart.
