  • Suspense at its best!

Wow, that is what I say Wow! I just despised Dan right from the beginning and just leave it at that. I did not see that end coming, I just wish we had closure for everything. BUT it is so worth the read, I just love Gilly Macmillan's books, they keep you guessing all through out the book. I recommend this book 100%

  • to tell u the truth

Well written, but I despised the character of Dan so much that I could not continue reading. The beginning made it seem way better than the book was as a whole.

  • To tell you the truth....it was good!

I really enjoyed this book because it read quickly and the story moved swiftly. The main character is a writer and her husband is her assistant and he buys a home without her permission and thats when everything begins to fall apart for her. She has a passed which slowly creeps up as you continue reading the book and at the same time a murder happens and you now need to figure that out as you read so all in all I found the book to be a great quick read!

  • Entertaining.

This started so well that I was quite sure that it was going to be at least 4 stars. I was very engaged and felt entertained. I liked the concept, the writing and the structure. I was even able to feel some sympathy towards the main character and I hated her husband with all my heart. That last through the first 60 or 65%. After that it became a bit repetitive and boring. As for the ending, I thought it was not very satisfying, but she did not write this book just to pleased me. This was my third book by this author. The first one I read was “The Perfect Girl”, and I rated 1 star. The second was “What She Knew”, which I rated 4 stars, so I had some expectations. I do own 3 others (Odd Child Out, The Nanny & I Know You Know”, still sitting unopened, but now I’m very curious about those and I will try to squeeze it. Don’t get me wrong. This was entertaining and it is a fast read (less than 300 pages with 55 short chapters).

    Thanks for your feedback!
