  • Love me some Harry

**No Worries- No Spoilers here** I received an Advance copy of this book from the Author in exchange for an honest review. Yes, I’m gloating a little because I had the privilege of getting my Harry fix early, but good news for everyone else, especially if you’re reading this is that Tooth and Claw has been released today. Tooth and Claw is the second volume/book in the series, The Harry Russo Diaries. The first book is Dead and Kicking, and I absolutely loved it. So I was eager for this second installment, especially since the first left me with my jaw hanging to the floor. This was something I found controversial and opinion oriented. Some reviews I read said no cliffhanger, while others said yes to a cliffhanger. I’m with the latter. Both books felt like cliffhanger endings to me, but on the other hand the author did wrap up each story so they did have a conclusion. The endings of each book were left with room to expand, as the author obviously did by continuing on with volume two and I believe there will be a volume three also. The story is in first person, Harry’s POV. You don’t necessarily need to read book one in order to enjoy book two, but I highly recommend you do because you might feel a little left out of the loop when past events are referenced since book two is a continuation. This series is Paranormal all the way and is filled with a variety of species. This is probably one of my favorite things about this series. Lisa Emme has built a world around so many different types of supernatural beings. Again, as I skimmed through other’s reviews this was also controversial. Some found that having so many various creatures to be overwhelming but I loved that fact and found this is what kept both books exciting for me. Although, Tooth and Claw was slower paced compared to this first book. This was a little disappointing since book one had me so amped. But Tooth & Claw redeemed itself for me in the romance department, in which I felt book one lacked. I was very happy to see Harry’s love life rise in heat factor and was surprised by a potential match of two other characters I hadn’t even thought of putting together. I hope to read more about those two in the next book. Editing was good and words flowed easily. No backtracking to figure out what a sentence or word was supposed to be. Overall another great read delivered by Lisa Emme and I can’t wait for the next volume. I recommend this story for mature readers due to some steamy bedroom situations.

  • Wow!

I absolutely loved the first book in this series and was eagerly awaiting book two. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint! I love Harry, and Nash....mmm yeah! I loved the story, it was funny and exciting and there was even a part that made me cry because it was so emotional. Lisa Emme does a great job of bringing her characters to life and I love how there are so many different types of supernatural beings but it's not hard to keep track of them, so don't worry. I especially liked her take on some of the Fae creatures like pixies and redcaps. Very interesting! I can't wait for the next book (especially after the bomb Emme drops on us at the end - but it's not a cliffhanger, so don't worry).

  • Loved it! Great series!

Loved it! It was fast-paced, hilarious and kept me hooked til the last page. I love all the characters especially Harry. My favourite part was when Harry was practising her new skills. And the ending blew me away! Loving this series! Can't wait for the next book!

  • Ready to read the next 3 soon

I've enjoyed book two and plan on reading books 3 through 5 in the near future. I'm surprised that I managed to read the entire book in a single day (because I couldn't put it down). I don't want to put in any spoilers here so I'll just add that there is one fairly major point that is consistent to almost all urban fantasy that involves werewolves and one that I have never seen in any (that involves Harry herself).

  • A bit of everything

I have really enjoyed the first two books in tbis series and have bought the next two ready for another afternoon of escapism. The stories are well written with enough humour to make you smile as the action unfolds. There are no wimpy die away characters here!
