  • Awesome, wonderful, fantastic, fun

Awesome, wonderful, fantastic, fun, Totally Pawstruck, the 9th book in Sofie Ryan's delightful Second Chance Cat Mystery series is the best in an OUTSTANDING cozy mystery series. I adore the fact that Ms. Ryan allows her senior sleuths the be the active intelligent and kind people that many upper aged seniors truly are. They provide much of the humor, but it is based on their wit and person eccentricities; never it is poking fun at them. I love the fact that Sarah's friends appreciate and respect them as much as she does. The warm and beautiful relationship between Mac and Sarah leaves me sighing! This mystery touches my heart even more than they usually do, and Ms. Ryan makes every victim matter, even the ones who aren't so nice. The book is won warm and wonderful it makes me want to spend time with them.

  • Kind people, tough solve

Somebody killed the man nobody liked. Could the day get worse? Yes! Stella (a friend) was on the scene, and it didn't look good. Fortunately for Stella, Sarah and her friends, the Angels (spunky senior detectives), and her cat Elvis, have taken the case. This is book 9 in the series, and a nice continuation of the relationships and the shop's business. Elvis even uses his lie-detector powers! The mystery is difficult to solve, and mention of cookies and other food may make you hungry, but you will never lack a kind person to turn to. It's a refreshing bit of fiction I'm happy to buy into for a while. My one complaint is the store's Valentine's Day window display (with looped soundtrack?). Oh, horror! 4/5 Stars

  • Totally Pawstruck

This book is all about love—seeing that it takes place just around Valentine’s Day. The murder of a man just about everyone despised stumped the Angels a short while but eventually—following clues and word of mouth—the truth came to light. I wish Elvis had more involvement in the story as he is the reason why I’m reading the books.
