    Tremaine's True Love

This was good but the story dragged a bit in places and seemed unneccessarily long. I have enjoyed other books that I have read by this author, so this was a big surprise. I guess every author has the odd book that is not as good as the rest.

    Tremaine's True Love

Once again Burrowes combines steamy romance with historical living in a uniquely captivating manner. She weaves real romance throughout the lives of her characters, making them oh so real. The world that she builds takes readers back in time in a one of a kind tale that had me gasping & laughing in turns. I love the strength of character that these two individuals possess takes the entire novel to a whole new level. Their battle of wills was fantastic. The way that they refused to see the truth that was directly in front of them lead to some comical moments. The combination of true gentleman and headstrong alpha type made Tremaine a joy to get to know. It fit with Nita’s need to prove herself to all those around her. When they finally admitted their feelings, they became an even more fantastic couple. And Burrowes backs these two main characters up with a fantastic supporting cast. The way that we get to know them draws you completely into their world. Burrowes has created a one of a kind tale that kept me captivated throughout. I laughed and lived alongside her characters in this remarkable journey back in time. Please note that I received a complimentary copy of this work in exchange for an honest review.

Tremaine's True Love by Grace Burrowes

Historical romance is my favorite genre and Grace Burrowes one of my favorite authors because she never fails to sweep me up in the characters, the times, the settings, the language, and most of all the romance. TREMAINE'S TRUE LOVE was a delight to read. The first book in her new series, True Gentlemen, and a wonderful start in my opinion. It was impossible not to admire her heroine, Lady Nita Haddonfield. Nita had a heart for nurturing and caring for those in need often times at her own risk. She felt it her mission, her calling, to follow in her mother's footsteps as a healer. Especially for those with no one else willing or able to care for them. Wealthy businessman Tremaine St. Michael comes to their family home to purchase sheep from her brother and finds himself drawn to the Lady Nita. He sees that while she cares for everyone else, there is no one caring for her. He finds himself attending her and watching out for her. He finds himself caught up in the family and community dynamics because of her. And he finds himself in love. These two were perfect for each other, both honest to a fault and clear about what was important to them in life. Neither looking for love, or believing in it much, until they found each other. They had amazing chemistry together and each an incredible back story. There is a lot going on with the Haddonfield family which keeps the entire story very entertaining trying to figure how it will all work itself out. 4 stars. ~Complimentary copy downloaded from NetGalley in exchange for a honest review.

    Tremaine's True Love

Meh. I found it choppy and disjointed. I liked the parts about letting a person do the job they want without interference especially healing. It was okay but not up to the standards of her earlier books.
