  • Such a satisfying conclusion to Kayla's arc...

Everything came to a head in this book - the instability of life as a ruin rat, the political battles within the Towers, and Kayla's heart being torn between the bond with Alec and her unwavering love for Carl. It's hard to remember how little time has actually passed since the beginning of book one, considering the sheer amount of action that holds pace throughout the story. But it's a entertaining ride, with plenty of the same intrigue and chaos that Kayla has brought to the table since the start. I'll also say, I'm not generally a fan of love triangles - I like knowing who I'm rooting for, can you blame me? - but the way Jamie treated the romantic struggle in all three books was extremely satisfying. This book was a fantastic conclusion to Kayla's arc, and though I can admit that I would have been content if the story had finished here (seriously, I don't think I've read a more satisfying conclusion to so many threads), I'm excited that there's more for us to learn about life in the Omni Towers. I received a free copy from BookSirens and am leaving my review voluntarily.

    Thanks for your feedback!
