This is my favorite of the series so far!

Tyler and Mira are minor characters in the first two books, but in this book we're clued in about their history and why they appeared to hate each other. As is common in second-chance romances, miscommunication is to blame for their original break-up, but unique to this book is the entire story that shows it was so much more than a simple communication breakdown. Their story is complex and messy, with both characters making mistakes along with way, but ultimately their love is the only thing they can count on and the sweetest of HEAs is delivered when they finally stop fighting the inevitable. This story also gives us a lot more about what's going on at Blue, the casino where some of the characters work. Although each of the books in this series are standalone romances, the issues at the casino continue to unfold from one to the next. I wasn't sure how I'd like Mira after meeting her in the earlier books, but to this author's credit, Mira's backstory really does explain her behavior and allows us to see her as a sympathetic character. Unlike the first two books which were entirely in the female protagonist's POV, this one alternates between Mira's and Tyler's first-person narratives. This works beautifully as so much of this story is based on how they both interpreted their high-school interactions and how that relationship affected their future decisions. Deeply romantic at its core, this book was a beautiful escape that I thoroughly enjoyed from the first page to the last. Highly recommended. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

    Jules does it again!

TRUE BLUE follows Mira and the oh so mysterious brother of Cali who we met in book 1 - Tyler. I knew there was something going on with Tyler when I read the first book, and I am so excited that Jules decided to tell his story. The same can be said for Mira. In previous books we find her being extremely clingy and just seemingly not so awesome towards Gen. It was so very nice to find out the reasons behind her actions - and to find out what happens when romance gets a second chance. The thing about love is - we don't always get it right. Sometimes, as humans, we really mess it up. Jules always writes with such raw honesty, and this book is no different. It's very easy to see this story happening in "real life" - and I'm sure to someone, it has. Two high school kids fall in love, but are scared to say so - and because of that, they make choices that probably aren't good for either of them. That being said, those choices bring them back together and even though they both have the wrong idea about one another, even years after high school, they eventually learn to communicate and things get.... hot. Mira and Tyler don't have a perfect story. They're both super infuriating at times. They both have demons that need to be battled - but that's what makes me love them. They're real. They're honest. They're raw. Their story is quite possibly my favorite in the series. I'm again, super proud of Jules for writing about the hard stuff: addiction, gambling, and the struggles that come with chasing your dreams. Anyone can write a fairy tale. Jules can write real life - and make it sound like a fairy tale. TRUE BLUE is a must read. **This book has some mature content and may not be suitable for readers of all ages**

    Rebound roommate

This was my first read from this author. Childlish, not appealing beginning-and not to mention completely unnecessary. I really don't know how to feel about this book. 2 stars. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

    Amazing!

A fastpaced book with a captivating plot and great characters. Love the chemistry between Tyler and feisty Mira. Will definitely check out the other books in this series. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

    Tyler's Second Chance

Mira has always had to help her drug-addict mother whenever she calls, always because she wants something from Mira. However, this time Mira has to borrow money from a dangerous loan shark. They are impatient for payment, so one night she is beaten up when she doesn’t repay fast enough. To protect Mira, Lewis and his friends come up with a plan to have her stay at Cali’s cabin. Her brother, Tyler, currently is living there. No one knows that Tyler and Mira have a past history together and, with Tyler living there and not willing to leave, an awkward situation is created as neither of them can stand being in the same room together! With Tyler still having feelings for Mira, will the new living arrangement let them forgive and start over? Will protecting Mira now and keeping her safe change their attitudes?
