  • dangerous survival game

Detective Escobar wins a vacation but can't go. He gives it to his co-worker, Gabe Emory to use while he's on leave. He shows up in Canada, and the trip group is cops, judges, DEA agents. It's obvious to the reader early in the book that the trip is a setup. But why? And by whom? Juan Carlos Martinez is issuing payback for all those who had a part in sending him to prison. They have 48 hours to cross 20 miles on a wilderness island. There will be only one winner. The losers and their families will all be killed. From chapter 5 forward, I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. The players in this game are an interesting mix of personalities, and their physical and survival abilities vary greatly. There are so many twists in this story, it kept my interest to the last page, and kept me up reading late into the night. This is my first read from this author, and holy cow, certainly not the last. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

  • Two Days to Die, Great Story

A well written mystery story by a Author I have not read before. The story kept me on the edge of my seat, what a sick man that was. I wonder if this might be going to be a series, as what did Gabriel really see as he looked back. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
