  • Impossibly Good & Impossible to Forget!

4.5/5 Stars | Hot Steam UGLY LOVE should come with the following warning: “Loss of sleep, inconsolable crying, heavy heart and the shredding of one’s soul have been reported by readers of this book. Suggested: Read within close proximity of someone nonjudgemental who can hold you for at least 15 minutes following its completion. *Not suggested to be read when vulnerable or prior to bedtime.*" I loved this extraordinary novel. Miles and Tate’s layered and luminous journey is impossibly good and impossible to forget. It destroyed me and flooded me with sunshine simultaneously. Beautiful, intensely complicated, enviously steamy and emotionally overpowering, I adored every sublimely shattering and sizzling word. Bottom Line: Believe the hype. Read this book!

  • So Butterflyin Awesome

I think I built up unrealistic expectations after Maybe Someday and with the hype surrounding it's release. I love me a HEA, and Colleen didn't disappoint in that respect, but sometimes I love not knowing the whoooole end story. Leaving a little mystery as to how they end up (not they get married and have babies, the end). Regardless, I loved this book, like love loved, I think her formatting she used telling Miles perspective was intriguing and it reminded me of Slammed. Colleen is one of my favourite authors and I will read anything she releases (including her grocery lists). Thank you Colleen for another awesome read!!!

  • An outstanding and emotional story!

From the first page I was sucked into this incredibly emotional story. Miles is the type of character, I love reading about! He is handsome, reserved and closed-off, having gone through loses that no man should ever have to face. Then his best friend's sister moves in across from his apartment and changes his life. If that's not a perfect premise for a story, I don't know what is. This story is relatable and another thing I loved about it is that it touched me emotionally. I love a book that brings out my emotions and gets me invested in the characters stories. The title alone drew me in: Ugly Love. It's a symbol of how love can be so great and at times you can face the most horrific things, making it ugly and tainted. However, the beauty of love is that it can conquer all in the end.

  • Truly demonstrates 'ugly love'.

This book breaks all kinds of rules; it’s got alternating POVs and tense. It has a few cringe-worthy moments, but they’re glorious as executed in a way only Hoover seems able to pull off. A quick read, addictive, hard to put down. Completely predictable, every second of it and still manages to prompt real feels and be hard to put down so that’s pretty impressive. 4 stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

  • Heart wrenching and heart warming

This book was heart wrenching and heart warming all at the same time. This is a must read (if you love love, which who doesn’t?)
