    Thanks for your feedback!

    This book is INTENSE.

This book is INTENSE. I thought I had read "tortured hero" in the past. Boy, was I wrong! None of them comes close to Fuery. His battle with darkness was incredibly emotional, especially when it came to how it affected Shaia. As always, I'm a TOTAL sucker for the "fated mate" thing, and this book had it in spades. I LOVED reading their love-at-first-sight and the subsequent connection Fuery and Shaia felt to each other. Felicity really did an excellent job describing the anguish felt by Fuery and Shaia respectively, and while it was heartbreaking to read, it made the happy ending that much better. I LOVE this series!!! (I received a copy of this book in consideration of an honest review)

    Emotional and Intense

Fuery is an Elf and an assassin. He is feared everywhere because of his ferocity. The reason he is so good at his job is because he is very nearly lost to the darkness. He suffers from extreme post traumatic stress after killing his mate many years ago. If the darkness claims him completely the Elven prince will have him put to death. Shaia is lonely enough to at last give in to the pressure from her parents, and marry the male they have chosen. She knows she will never love him , or anyone else because her fated mate died a long time ago. Then someone gives her incredible news. A very emotional and intense story. Our hero fights a bigger battle with himself than with all the foes he is sent to kill. Is our heroine strong enough to pull him through and still survive herself? A sexy and exciting tale you will not be able to put down. Although this is part of a big series you can easily read it as a stand alone. You will meet several old friends from other books. That will not spoil the others if you haven't read them yet. I have loved every book in this series and look forward to the next.

    Unchained by a Forbidden Love

Unchained by a Forbidden Love is the fifteenth book in the Eternal Mates series. Each story has characters from previous stories in it, but most of them can be read as standalones. In this one, we meet Fuery once again. He has shown up in previous books as an elf on the edge. He is so close to becoming lost, and is tainted so much his friend, Hartt, is very concerned about him and does all he can to help Fuery. One of the things that constantly haunts Fuery is that he thinks he killed his mate. We travel across the realm to find Shaia, who still mourns her dead mate. After over four thousand years, she gives into her family's wishes and agrees to marry who they want her to. However, when Bleu turns up and gives her the news that Fuery is still alive, Shaia is determined to find her lost love, and save him, no matter what it takes. Shaia is a strong character, although she has had to hide it from the very backwards (in some ways) elves. I was concerned at the beginning that I may have an issue with Hartt, as he seemed over protective of Fuery, so much so he wouldn't allow Shaia to see him. However, it soon became clear that he wasn't jealous of Shaia, but was desperately trying to keep Fuery from becoming lost to the darkness. The interaction in this book between the main characters and those they associate with was simply outstanding. Prince Loren, Blue, Prince Vail, Rosalind, they all make an appearance in Fuery and Shaia's story, and I can't imagine it any other way. The story gripped me and I couldn't wait to finish it - not because I wanted it to end, but because I wanted Fuery and Shaia to get their HEA. Told in both the present time, and the past, you get the full story of Shaia and Fuery. With no editing or grammatical errors to disrupt me, this book simply flowed from one page to the next. A fantastic addition to the series, and definitely recommended by me. * A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book, and the comments here are my honest opinion. * Merissa Archaeolibrarian - I Dig Good Books!
