  • Two Lost Souls Find Love

We finally get Sheridan Wolfe, Duke of Armitage's story. Sheridan and his family are getting closer to figuring out who killed all three of their mother, Lydia Fletcher's husbands. When Sheridan is given the task to question Cora Pryde (Lady Eustace) who they believe is a suspect, he never would have believed that her daughter, Miss Vanessa Pryde would catch his attention. Sheridan finds himself attracted to Vanessa, but because of the death of his fiance a few years ago he doesn't want to pursue another possible heartbreak again. Vanessa may be pretending to flirt and want Konrad Juncker, but in reality she really is interested in Sheridan. As these two play a cat and mouse game, real feelings start to emerge. As things start to escalate with the investigation, so does Vanessa and Sheridan's relationship. Vanessa hopes she is getting everything she wished for, now she just hopes that Sheridan feels the same way. In a surprising twist, we finally find out who the murderer is. This revelation brings everything to a nice happy ending where Vanessa and Sheridan will finally get their happy ever after. I really enjoyed this story and am sad that the series is over. It was fun trying to figure out who the murderer was. I really liked Sheridan and Vanessa too. Sheridan was all businesslike but quickly realized that he wasn't living his fullest life until he was with Vanessa. I also loved how Vanessa was finally able to find the one thing she always hoped for....unconditional love! Overall another great book from Sabrina Jeffries.

  • Perfect conclusion

This is the first series I have read by Sabrina Jeffries and I have to say she has turned me into a major Regency Romance fan. I love this time period with all the crazy rules that one had to follow or risk being scandalized. I have loved getting to know this family. We finally get the conclusion to the mystery of who killed the Dowager Duchess’ previous husbands. Vanessa is a lot of fun. She is feisty, a perfect match for Sheridan. This book was the perfect conclusion to the series. Thank you to Netgalley and Kensington for the ARC. All opinions expressed are my own.

  • Sorry to see this series end!

The mystery continues and the wonderful characters are all back trying to solve who killed their fathers and uncle. Sheridan has been tasked to find out if Lady Eustace is behind his stepbrothers and his own father’s death. Which meant he needed to get close to her daughter Vanessa in order to get close to her for questioning. Not a easy task when Lady Eustace hates his family and her daughter is in love with another man. Or so he believes! Vanessa has her sights set on Sheridan. Many more twists and turns to the final conclusion of who done it. Must really read in order or you will be missing many pieces of the puzzle. Very entertaining series. I am voluntarily posting an honest review after reading an Advance Reader Copy of this story.

  • Undercover Duke!

I absolutely loved this historical romantic mystery. The main storyline was the romance between Vanessa and Sheridan which was completely captivating and satisfying. The other storyline was equally intriguing, the continuing investigation of the murders of Sheridan's father and stepfathers. I had no problem following the plot that started in the previous books. It made me want to pick up the previous installments in this wonderful series. Thank you, NetGalley, for granting me the pleasure of reading and reviewing this wonderful read. All opinions are my own.

  • Entertaining book

This was an entertaining, well-written book. Vanessa is attracted to Sheridan, but due to a loss in his past he is resisting his own attraction. She creates a scheme to flirt with someone else and Sheridan finds himself drawn in. The story was fun, flirty and romantic and it held my interest. I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more books by this author.
