In this novella, we get to see how life is inside the Diotech compound. This part interested me, as we didn’t get much information out of the first book. We learn that Zen is somewhat of a rebel. He didn’t just break the rules for Sera; he breaks the rules quite often if he thinks what they are doing is wrong. I was hoping this novella would get me excited about their romance, but unfortunately that didn’t happen. I still get it, I just don’t get the feels from it. There is not much more we learn to help better understand things. We just get to know Zen a little better, which is nice. I’m not sure this novella is necessary to the story, however. As usual (except the odd one), this in-between novella wasn’t worth the $2. But, it wasn’t bad either…just unnecessary.

    Thanks for your feedback!
