MUST READ-WILD ADVENTURE & DESERT ROMANCE

UNDISCOVERED-{TREASURE HUNTER SECURITY BOOK#1} WILD ADVENTURE & SIZZLING ROMANCE What you'll find in this story; a cast of remarkably impressive and engaging characters, awesome storyline, picturesque and dynamic vivid scene descriptions, clever banter, unexpected surprises, agonizing moments, action, gripping suspense, horrific danger, life-threatening incidents, intoxicating jaw-dropping sensual romance, and a fabulous conclusion leaving you wanting more. Dr. Layne Rush is in the Egypt desert on an archeologist dig and loving every minute of it. When her assistant asks her to join the group going to Dakhla for an evening of fun she passes on the invite. While alone in the tent that stores the valuable artifacts she is assaulted and robbed of all that was found. Declan’s security team is hired to protect Dr. Rush, her team and to make sure that no other artifacts are stolen from the dig. Declan believes he knows who is responsible for the robbery and if he is correct is shocked and thankful that Layne survived the onslaught of his monstrous ways. When Declan and Layne meet, the battle of who is the boss of the dig begins. As a romance between the two flourishes, horrific danger threatens their lives, and Declan realizes he will follow and protect the woman who is little by little breaking down the barriers surrounding his heart. INCREDIBLY ENTERTAINING fast paced well written read by a truly gifted author. The author does not disappoint by giving readers a bit of history and a fascinating story that not only keeps you intrigued but has a cast of characters that are praise-worthy and spring to life with the impressive dialogue, humor, spine-chilling action, and breathtaking scene descriptions. Layne and Declan are perfectly matched; Layne’s quick-witted and soothing persona calms the tough alpha Declan. Both are courageous heroes. I absolutely relished this story as I was transported into the hot desert of Egypt, a most memorable read. If you love wild treasure hunt romances this is certainly a must-have for your library. {I was gifted a copy of this book and this is my honest review}. In the world of fantasy romance, the possibilities are endless and always fascinating. Without reservations, I recommend this book.

    A great story!

Zerzura. Myth or reality? Dr. Layne Rush is the lead archeologist excavating a new site in Egypt. After an attack on Layne and the theft of precious gold artifacts, a security team is hired. Declan Ward and Treasure Hunter Security are well-suited for the job. The excitement begins! I am pleased with the prospect of Anna Hackett's new series. She wields a deft hand in bringing mythical stories to life. "Undiscovered" has tons of glorious intrigue, the nastiest villain imaginable, a 'wounded' hero and heroine who show incredible inner strength when the going gets tough, and an awesome support team. There is so much packed into this story that there is never a dull moment and new surprises at every turn. Read and enjoy! I can't wait for more!

    Archaeological adventures and romance

Dr. Layne Rush is leading a dig out near Luxor when she is beset by sabotage and someone assaulting her. The dig sponsor, the university, hires some security for her, the firm Treasure Hunter Security, and dispatches Declan Ward with a team to keep her safe. Her attacker is out to find the lost city of Zerzurra, and she holds the ability to navigate there. Dec has a history with the bad guy, though, and is determined to protect Rush until she can get her artifacts back to her sponsors. Declan enjoys his job but is haunted by the way he left the Navy. He may be attracted to Layne, but he pulls an “I’m no good for you” which she thankfully disabuses him of. She’s had tragedies of her own, and uses the help she’s gotten over the years to help kick him out of some bad patterns of thinking. They’re fun together, both intense and focused, and the intimate scenes are likewise delicious. We get plenty of details that set the atmosphere of the dig and following adventures. Sand, hot, and danger are conveyed without wearing on the reader. How’s the author going to make Zerzurra happen, I wondered. The twist there is something I didn’t see coming and leads to some great adventures with nature obstacles. Hackett’s amazing at action scenes, and these are easy to visualize and follow. I've read many books by this author, and a theme that seems to crop up some recently is a near-death experience triggering the heroine's "yes let's do it, life's too short” change of heart regarding sex with the hero. While memento mori in real life often primes us for sex, with Layne’s earlier objections to going further it felt a bit oddly timed and convenient to me. Likewise, the bad guy was very conveniently bad, just a dangerous psychopath with not very many layers to him. I love that Declan’s treasure hunter mother makes an appearance. Someday I’ll want to read about how she met her Professor Ward. I received a free ARC for review purposes.
