    Unforgettable Summer

I enjoyed reading Unforgettable Summer, Ty and Summer’s story was well written keeping you invested in the characters and hooked on the storyline from beginning to end. I look forward to reading many more books in this series. Summer Campbell is the daughter who wants to do everything right, follow in her father’s footsteps, become a Doctor and make him proud. Only life didn’t work out that way, she fell in love with someone she didn’t think she could have, her sister’s ex-boyfriend. Ty Butler is about to leave town to live his dream, but he can’t let go of his desires for Summer and when he finally gets a taste of her he only wants more. Ty asks her to meet him the following day and when she doesn’t show he leaves Leyton’s Headland and Summer behind along with a piece of his heart. It has been ten years and Ty is home for his parent’s anniversary. When he comes face to face with Summer nothing about the way she makes him feel has changed but he knows she is holding something back. Once secrets are discovered and the truth about how her sister really felt for Ty is revealed Summer decides to stop fighting how she feels and enjoy whatever time she has with TY. But when the time comes for him to leave can either of them truly walk away and when Ty offers her more will Summer take it or will she turn away from her chance at happiness for a second time.

    Sun, surf and passion.

Ty and Summer are just barely adults, and for a fleeting moment shared a passion that was doomed to tear them apart. Ty, about to head off on the major surfing circuit, had his whole life and career ahead of him, while Summer was crushed by the reality that she had fallen for her sister’s boyfriend, who could never be hers. Conscious that their love was forbidden; a promise to meet was not kept, and Summer allowed Ty to leave without knowing how she truly felt. A decade later after a failed marriage and resolved that she would always be a failure in her father’s eyes, Summer has settled again made a living for herself back in their hometown of Leyton’s Headland, convinced that she happy with her lot in life. In the three and half years since her return, Summer has never crossed paths with Ty, even though his parents still reside in the beachside town, and is confident that she never will. So when rumours start that Ty is back in town and looking at properties, Summer is not concerned until the day their eyes meet across a busy street. A decade of suppressed feelings and a lust that was never extinguished, has Summer’s blood pumping hard and fast at the very first sight if her lost love, but common sense has her running for the hills in an attempt to save what little remains of her shattered heart. Ty believes Summer untouchable, as he has kept track of this elusive woman over time and knows that she married; but an undeniable magnetism has him seeking her out to discover if the depth of what he felt all those years ago, was really as profound as his young heart thought. Unforgettable Summer is a well written story that keeps a steady pace from beginning to end and captures the readers full attention. And while Ms Lee has written two very different characters, they succeed in complimenting each other in a fundamental way. Ty is fun, easy going and loves life. He also has never forgotten the attraction that drew him to Summer and wants nothing more than to pursue what they could have had; while Summer is delicate soul, wounded on so many fronts, lacking in self confidence and afraid to allow a buried love to resurface and crush her all over again. But passion will not be denied, so this disillusioned couple embark on what’s suppose to be a purely physical relationship for the short time Ty is in town, but when the sun rises on his last day, will they again be able to bury the love that has blossomed and consumed them both as Ty leaves for his next big wave? Golden beaches and endless summers, surfers and all-consuming passion, welcome to the Australian way of life.
