  • Absolutely Amazing Book

This is book two in The MacArthur Family Series and it is Brodie and Patience story and omg it was absolutely amazing. Patience is a school teacher and has just broken up for the summer holidays were she hopes to relax and enjoy time with her friends but things don't always go as planned as her mum asks to to be a temporary nanny for Trevor's nephew Oliver who's parents have been killed in a helicopter crash and Trevor is his legal guardian so Patience decides to help out until Trevor finds a new nanny. Brodie works for Trevor as his head of security keeping Trevor and Oliver safe I be is a little annoyed when Trevor tells him that he has hired a nanny for the summer while they look for a permanent one and had not informed Brodie with any details and Brodie is a bit confused that the previous nannies had quit but he felt that something was off with that situation so he was looking into it to see what he could find out. When Brodie and Patience met things got off to a really bad start but as they got to know each other the connection and chemistry between them grows stronger but as usual it is not all plain sailing. There are many twists and turns that you don't see coming but you have to keep turning the pages to see what would happen next and the story takes you in right from the first page and I couldn't put this book down as it was so addictive. Katie Reus certainly knows how to keep her reader's attention as she is an amazing author and writer and I definitely recommend you read this book, series and other books by her and you will definitely not be disappointed and I can't wait to read the next book in this amazing series. I Voluntarily Reviewed an Arc Copy of this Amazing Book.

  • A satisfying fast-paced, enjoyable novella

The second novella in Ms Reus's new MacArthur Family series is a satisfying, fast-paced, enjoyable and quick read. That had a little suspense, likable characters and a truly engaging romance. And I would happily recommend it to others. **I was kindly provided with an ARC via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review**

  • The perfect afternoon read

This was one of those reads that you get to just sit back and chill with. Nothing too incredibly heavy or dramatic, light on the angst, but perfect on the romance. Patience was a heroine I liked immediately. As this is written primarily from her point of view, it was easy to connect with her. When Brodie confronts her at one point, she didn’t hesitate to let him have it, and I love that she was confident enough to do so in the face of a man many would find intimidating. While we didn’t get a lot of Brodie, there was enough there to understand that he liked what he saw in Patience. He’s definitely got that protective alpha hero vibe going which is always a win in my opinion. Watching him pay the price after making a colossal mistake was pretty fun. Although this was not heavy in drama, it still had plenty of mystery and suspense driving the story forward. The chemistry between Patience and Brodie was clearly evident, but their relationship really didn’t have enough time or opportunity to take off until the end. This is a fast, short read perfect for a quick break or something between longer reads.

  • Exciting!!

I found this to be a cute story even with the side of danger. That’s mainly due to Patience. She was a sweet heroine who steps into help a family friend, as a nanny, while they try to figure out why all the previous nannies quit. I was just as baffled as they were until a few pieces of the puzzle started to come together. Our hero Brodie was a bit more intense. He’s head of security for the guy Patience is helping and they have an instant connection. However, Brodie has a pretty suspicion nature and almost messes up his chance with her. I did like how he made up for it though. This was on the shorter side, but fleshed out enough to feel like a full book. I enjoyed the storyline and especially this couple!

  • Loved!

Loved this book! The is a quickly moving story that opens with Patience's plans for a fun and relaxing summer disappearing when her mother talks her into helping a friend for the summer by nannying for his young nephew. He has no idea why he can't keep a nanny, but they keep quitting. His head of security, Brody, takes his job very seriously, and focuses his attention on Patience. While she wants his attention, she doesn't want him tearing apart her life. When Patience falls ill, Brody steps into help her, and she begins to thaw towards him. Before long, she's smitten, and Brody is doing whatever he can to get her to take a chance on him. Their sweet and sexy romance follows, even as more strange things happen to Patience. I thoroughly enjoyed this novella and was sorry when it ended. If you enjoy the genre, you will love this book and want to put it at the top of your TBR list. The author is on my must read authors' list.
