    Fantastic

LOVED this book!! Cindi Madsen dives into the MMA world with a flourish as she brings us the story of Shane and Brooklyn. Shane Knox is a former MMA star who is trying to regain his reputation and win a comeback fight. Brooklyn is the daughter of the man who has agreed to take a chance on Shane. Training and working on his comeback with Brooklyn's brothers and father is an opportunity Shane can't afford to screw up yet Brooklyn is too tempting to ignore. Brooklyn knows first hand that dating a fighter her father is working with can lead to all sorts of trouble. Been there. Done that. That's why she's sworn off the bad boy fighter types. She has to admit though that there is something about Shane that calls to her. Will she repeat the mistakes of her past or will she have the strength to resist temptation. As expected from Cindi Madsen the story is wonderfully written and these characters will pull you in immediately. Their chemistry is also undeniable. This is a book I highly recommend. Trigger alert - When the story first starts Brooklyn is involved with another man. Nothing happens between Shane and Brooklyn until she is clear of that relationship though.

Until You’re Mine was my first book by author Cindi Madsen, it certainly won’t be the last though. This was a heart-thumping fast-paced story set in the world of MMA. Shane Knox was set to reach the height of his fighting career when he started to lose control. After being defeated in one match too many, his manager, his girlfriend and the people he thought were his close friends all turned their backs on him. Months later, Shane is ready to get his life and his career back on track. He’s got a new coach and is training with Team Domination in San Diego, he’s ready to take it to the next level. Everything is going great, until she walks in the door. Brooklyn Roth grew up watching men like Shane, she even fell for one once and had her heart trampled in the process. She’s always been at the center of the action but her love is for art. She’s an artist and when she needed space, she walked away from her father’s gym in San Diego and started over in San Francisco. She’s happy there and has a nice steady boyfriend. When her brothers ask her to come back to the gym to help out for the summer, she’s hesitant to do so. She and her father didn’t part on the best of terms. But familial ties are hard to break. Shane was the first thing Brooklyn saw when she came home. She pegged him as just another arrogant fighter, but as she starts to spend more and more time with him, she finds out the there’s more to this built, sexy as sin bruiser. Shane just needs one good fight to get his career of to a brilliant start and Brooklyn’s dad’s knows exactly who that should be. Brooklyn’s ex-boyfriend. Conrad ‘Croc’ Rochenski. But, life is never simple and Brooklyn is forced to make a decision when she finally gets a place in a gallery exhibition in San Francisco that she’s been hoping for. Now she has to choose between her dreams or Shane’s. They can’t have both, or so it seems. She’s been down this road once before and it never worked. Can she let Shane go? Will he let her? Or will he tell her he won’t give up, Until You’re Mine.

    Hello trouble...

Until You're Mine is a lesson in self control. The chemistry between these two is off the charts hot! But past hurts have a way of rearing their ugly heads! Oh and that whole "I have a boyfriend" thing too. She maybe a painter but she has a whole lot of fight in her. He maybe a fighter but he thinks of her as the fight of his life. These two long for more in life and fear for the unknown. Doubts, fears, and dreams hold them hostage. Its hard to cling to something you don't even have... Until You're Mine had my inner hopeless romantic cheering, pouting, and ready to throw down!Don't let the middle aged, overweight mom vibe fool you- I will toss the gloves and come at you with crazy eyes for my HEA. I'm not the only one able to, but are they willing? Until You're Mine was filled with hot MMA fighters to make your curiosity roam but only one will make you beg...until Liam's story of course.

    Sizzling

Loved it! It took me a few chapters before I was fully invested in Shane and Brooklyn, and then BAM! I was desperate for them to make it. They both had issues and I was praying that they could get past them. Shane, full name Shane Knox (and doesn’t that name just match the gorgeous hunk of a man on the cover) is an MMA fighter with a huge heart. It would appear when he loves, he loves hard, his mum being the centre of his world. He’s no pushover though and when he sets his sights on Brooklyn there’s no stopping him. Brooklyn is a take charge girl and I love how she stands up for herself, I loved the banter between her and Shane, not forgetting the sizzling hot chemistry in the mix. With Brooklyn’s art taking her away from Shane, I had no idea how they would make a go of a relationship without either of them giving up their dream, and what’s more I didn’t want either one to have to forfeit everything they’d worked so hard for. Brooklyn’s Brothers (also Shane’s coaches) are awesome, superb supporting characters with strong protective instincts. I can’t wait for book 2. I received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley, this is my honest review.

    Fun read

I picked this one because of Cindi Madsen's name on the cover and she didn't let me down.  Shane's brash, cocky attitude is fun and not annoying, while Brooklyn definitely can give as good as she gets.  Together they throw sparks for all sorts of reasons and it's a treat to be there to witness it.  There's also a good amount of family drama on Brooklyn's side, as well as some minor setup to the next story with one of her brothers.  It all flows well together and helps to flesh out the complications of a relationship with Shane. And speaking of complications ... I should warn people that Brooklyn is in a relationship for part of the book.  There is no physical cheating but the interactions between her and Shane have caused some reviewers to lower their rating.  To me it was a little (naturally) awkward, especially the inevitable break-up, but it seemed a realistic reaction to the situation they find themselves in.  Just a heads up, though, if this is something that might bother you. With family issues to resolve and an attraction that she's finding difficult to resist, Brooklyn's summer may not be going as smooth as she'd hoped.  But it definitely turned into a darn entertaining read for me :) *** I voluntarily read a Review Copy of this book. All opinions stated are solely my own and no one else’s. ***
