    A Charming Tale!

Lorena gets a visit from her dead boyfriend, Guido, on the night he died and she decides to set out on a quest to figure out exactly what it was he wanted to communicate with her. Her quest leads her to Venice and Guido’s hotel where she gets more answers than she bargained for! Venetian Tangle is a charming story about unrequited love, letting go of the past, and having the courage to take chances in the future. It was an engaging read that was over WAY too fast, having me hooked until the very end. I loved the characters and the plot and highly recommend this book if you’re in the mood for a light, romantic read that’ll keep you engaged and entertained until the very end! (I received a digital copy of in exchange for a fair and honest review. All of the above opinions are entirely my own.)

Love in Venice ... molto bene!

Don't wait until Christmas to read this feel-good romance by Beate Boeker - get it now! I thoroughly enjoyed Venetian Tangle, a light-hearted, quirky story of unexpected love set in one of the world's most romantic cities. Well written, with likeable characters, sparkling dialogue, and a satisfying feeling of "being there". Perfect!

    A classy, charming romance

Beate Boeker has a gift for sweet, light-hearted romance with delightful descriptive background settings. While I've never had the opportunity to travel to Italy, I came away from this story with a taste of its beauty and enchantment. And the heroine and hero connected in such an intriguing way. Imagine falling in love due to the workings of a family ghost! I especially loved the ending and the creative epilogue, which I have to admit, came a tad too soon. I wasn't quite ready to put the book down! Bravo, Beate, for a classy romance!

    Love in Venice

When Lorena's ex mystically appears to her in the night of his death, she decides to travel to Venice, the place where they loved each other ten years ago. Lorena is sure that Guido wanted to tell her something as a farewell greeting -- even if theoretically, all was clear between them. In Venice, she meets Guido's brother, Enzo, who welcomes her to the family. Within a short space of time, Lorena is deeply entangled in the complications, secrets, and emotions of the di Ventura family - all of which fascinate and confuse her. She particularly falls for Enzo, who's so very different from his brother. Finally, she decides to stay longer in the city of love and finds more answers than she had bargained for. Venetian Tangle is an easy read, full of humor, set in beautiful Venice. I quickly immersed myself into this book and felt connected to Lorena. Even though it was easy to guess from early on that Enzo and Lorena would develop an interesting relationship, it didn't become clear how many obstacles they still had to clear -- at a place where emotions and the deeply rooted traditions of Italian families count a lot. This romance is a must for everyone who loves romantic stories and has a weakness for Venice."

    A sweet romance

Beate Boeker's writing style is light and airy. She improves her numerous skills with every story she writes. VENETIAN TANGLE is no exception. She pulled me in right away when her heroine senses the presence of a former romantic interest miles and miles from where she believes him to be. Many places in the book, Beate creates a cliff hangar kind of scenario that made me want to continue reading to find out what would happen next. The first of them for me occurs during a Christmas celebration. I'd really love to talk more about it, but then, that would ruin the read for those who will discover it on their own. One of the things I always liked about Beate's writing is how well she can use her marketing training as part of her heroine's own skills. When she speaks about organization and running a company, the writing turns excellent. In addition, since this particular novel is set in Italy and I am Italian, I especially enjoyed her colorful descriptions of Venice. Romance is very much in the air on every single page. I noted a few typos along the way--something that is true of most reads these days. Toward the end I wanted a bit more in the way of detail about how the main characters came to know they were in love with each other. I do wholeheartedly recommend VENETIAN TANGLE to anyone who wants a sweet romantic read.
