o many layers of the mystery were peeled away

This is the second book in this series. It is NOT standalone. I don't know where Cristiano found the patience. In the first half of the book, Natalie constantly had me aching to put my hands around her trachea! That girl tested every nerve I had! I understand she is swimming in revelations and that her entire world has tilted on its axis, but she needs to stop making blind assumptions. She is an inquisitive and intelligent woman it is time to step up and take control. When Natalie finally emerges as the queen she was always meant to be I felt sorry for those who thought to keep her blinded. In this episode, we see a bit of the darker side of Cristiano. We visit some of the events that forged the calculating leader he is today. We also get a glimpse of something else that lurks in his darkness, just beyond the brutality he so casually wields. Diego ... wait for it. We pick up right where book one left off - at the wedding. In Violent Ends, it felt like so many layers of the mystery were peeled away revealing the true depth of the deceptions and betrayals. I was not prepared for most of it! Friends are sacrificed and enemies are uncovered. This definitely kept me wanting, needing to know what lay beyond the twisted rumors

    Amazing!!

Violent Ends is book 2 in the White Monarch series. All I have to say is I just love Cristiano!! This book is dark and chilling! And I couldn’t put it down! I already need book 3 like right now! It’s shaping up to be one of my favorite series!

5 edge of your seat stars!

Mierda!! After that cliffhanger ending in Violent Delights, I couldn't wait to get my hands on book 2 to see what happens between Natalia and Cristiano. How is she going to handle the situation that Diego has put her in? For such a privileged and protected girl, does she have the fortitude to hold her own against El Polvo, the nickname given to Cristiano? She's heard the most terrible rumors about him all these years, is she going to survive him? I absolutely loved seeing things from Cristiano's perspective. Learning from his conversations with Natalia what rumors are true and which ones aren't. I knew from the beginning that he was the brother I was going to side with, regardless of what he's done in the past or is doing now. Natalia is very quick to think on her feet and she holds her own against Cristiano, but Por el amor de Dios, I wanted to shake her SO many times! She is holding so steadfastly to things she thinks she knows without any concrete proof, and is so stubborn to not let go of preconceived notions. Oy, I wanted to crawl into the pages of the book and be like, "girl...let's have a chat." There are twists and turns galore, hints placed that are leading us toward a dramatic conclusion in this explosive series!! The slow burn between Natalia and Cristiano is scorching hot!! I'm trying so hard not to forget anyone or anything as I'm reading because I just know things are going to pop up in book 3 that I wasn't paying attention to along the way and those things are going to rock my socks!! Jessica has me totally enthralled and invested in the Cartel life! I thought that cliffy we got at the end of book 1 was bad. The cliffy at the end of book 2 nearly made me pee my pants! Jessica is pure evil to leave us like that!! Come on November, I NEED the rest of the story!

Ends is a bitter yet succinct title

I'm freaking out! Just when I get accustomed to how this is going to play out...Jessica Hawkins gives me another cliffhanger! Not everything is as it seems, I knew that from the beginning of book one, Violent Delights. Now Violent Ends tortures the readers with all we can have like a buffet as far as the eye can see. Possibilities and endless opportunities await yet the lock between us and all we could ever want, need, desire is impenetrable. One unbreakable lock separates us from everything...the key we need to enter the nirvana spread out before us is locked away in Violent Triumphs. Far out of our reach and just enough in our minds to torture is without even lifting a finger. Bravo Ms. Hawkins. If writing doesn't pan out psychological warfare might be more lucrative.😳 Just saying... The need I felt for Ends is underwhelming compared to the crackling anger floating through my body in a desperate ploy to avenge my need for Violent Triumphs. So be wary of others who have read Ends and avoid your friends post read, I'm afraid it will turn into some sort of zombie apocalypse with our greedy hands grabbing at everything between us and Triumph. What I was hoping for!

Do you want to FEEL what you read? Well this story, this writing is why I read. This second installment to the series gives a little more to background and view into their lives, but it also leaves me devastated waiting for the conclusion. Christiano, Diego and Natalia are all taking their places. Christiano came out on top in this account, but I can't wait for more. The angst and energy flow throughout the story and you'll want to throw your kindle a couple of times, but JH brings it all to the table and slams this story. Can't wait for more!
