    Three times the fun

I read each of the books as they came out. Maizies’ heart and Larissa Reinhart’s ability to create a young woman whose world and lifestyle are so different from anything I have experienced and make me identify with her and loved her make this series a marvel. 15 MINUTES Maizie Albright returns home under a cloud of probation and an aura of stardom. The ex-teen idol is paying for her bad taste in men when a judge requires that she return to her somewhat rustic roots and stay away from the evils of Hollywood. More than ready to begin a new and independent stage of her life, Maizie wants to train under the only local detective in town to get her private investigator license. Prepared with a college degree in criminal investigation and years of acting as a teenage super detective, the young woman begs her way into a trial run. Her stardom, education, and intelligence don't prepare her for her first gig. 16 MILLIMETERS Action, humor and heart tied me to this delightful mystery from beginning to end! Nash doesn't play a really big role but OH, MY, I think I would read the books just for him. I have caught Maisie's crush. The ex-actress just can't keep from getting drawn into the drama around the Hollywood world that has followed her to Georgia. Not only is she dying to turn her internship into active investigative time, she is drawn to help those with whom she can relate, not to mention, Nash's business needs the big bucks and she is one of the reasons so she owes him! From the time she sees what appears to be the dead body of old show mate, the neophyte detective refuses to give up trying to uncover the muck that is hiding under the covers of the flash of show business, but she is also concerned about the person who, contrary to all appearances, she would swear was dead. Nothing is ever easy for Maizie anymore but she refuses to give up. Nash is not thrilled for his agency to be drawn so close to the TV industry but he needs the money before his vengeful ex takes over the business. The warmth of Maizie's dad's family and the shadow of her mother's disapproval molded the person Maizie had become and follows her throughout the novel. NC-17 Larissa Reinhart is amazing. She can take the zaniest situations and make them feel real! I have never known anyone like Maizie, but Ms. Reinhart brings her so to life that her reversion to a hot mess with pushed my anxiety; I care about Maizie! I had to walk away several times but I had to come back every time. Maisie needed my support! My heart broke for her as her world crashed around her but I also belly laughed too many times to count. And I almost cheered, ignore that fist pump, as she started to take back the woman she has become. Yes, she still has a long way to go and I will be there with her to watch the continued growth. I love dynamic characters and Maisie is that in spades.
