    War of Hearts

War of Hearts was good, a bit slow in parts but I enjoyed it. It's packed with secrets, lies, betrayal and twists that I saw coming but it didn't ruin my overall enjoyment of the story. I loved the hero and heroine. Conall is a grumpy alpha who is super protective of those he loves. Thea is a fierce and feisty. I loved their journey. It was one of self discovery, love and a host of other things. I'm looking forward to where their journey takes them next. I definitely recommend this book.

    A wonderful story

ved this arc for an honest review. Thank you. War of hearts in the first paranormal romance book written by Samantha Young under the name S. Young. I’m glad that I had the opportunity to read this book until the release. This book revolves around Thea Quinn and her strange abilities and what she is. Thea is on the run and Conall MacLennan has to bring her back to the man who haunted her for years. Thea is a survivor and a strong woman who runs from a man who hurt her and she succeeds to escape from him for years. Until Conall, nobody could catch her. Because of Conall’s rare tracking ability, she can’t escape him. “The pack is everything to me. Family is everything to me. I’ll never stop protecting what’s important to me, even if I have to die doing it.” Connal is Alpha and Chief of Clan MacLennan, the last werewolf pack in Scotland and for him the pack is everything and he will do anything for them. He wants to save his sister and for that, he made an unbreakable contract with the businessman. His only job is to find a Thea and to bring her back to the businessman. But, after he spent time with Thea, he sees a survivor who needs someone on her side and to fight for her. “I love you, he murmured against her neck before lifting his head slowly to look deep into her eyes. That love was open and clear for the entire world to see. “There are no words for how much I love you, Thea Quinn.” Their relationship progress thought the whole book. You can feel their chemistry and sexual tension. Their love is infinite and they will do anything for each other. You have to read this book to understand their beautiful and complicated relationship. S. Young made a wonderful job when she wrote the relationship between Thea and Connal.

Everything an adult paranormal romance should be

Samantha Young (writing as S. Young) delivers again. War of Hearts had everything I expected in an adult paranormal romance: mystery, excitement, action and steam. Samantha has said there’s a possibility of more books in this world. Here’s to hoping that possibility becomes a reality.

Action and romance in this supernatural thriller

I’ve not read any supernatural genres for a good few months, and what a story I chose to end my drought. I did not want this story to end. I’m still running through everything that happened in my head. What a fantastic, entertaining and addictive read. Alpha werewolf Conall MacLennan (what a hero) is willing to do whatever it takes to save his sister, so when he’s approached by a rich cultural American, Jasper Ashforth, to hunt down and possibly bring to justice a dangerous thief and murderer, Thea Quinn, he jumps at the chance. Thea has been on the run from Ashforth for six years, she’s not going down without a fight, she’ll use everything in her supernatural arsenal to fight the hunky werewolf to avoid becoming Ashforth’s lab rat again. Action, drama, romance, and a roller coaster ride through Europe in this supernatural romantic thriller. I loved, loved, loved Conall, I adored Thea, add in the mix all the supernaturals, both good and bad, and I was in my element. Brilliant writing and a completely addictive read with a beautiful backdrop in Scotland. Book 2 cannot come fast enough, I’m impatient to see which characters will lead. I received an advanced copy of this book from the author. This is my honest review.

    A well-thought-out and original PNR!

War of Hearts is Samantha Young's first adult paranormal romance (PNR) novel written under the name S. Young. The paranormal romance genre has a special place in my heart, and especially books that are about shifters/werewolves. This is one of the genres that I am very critical of, and I want the story to be a perfect blend of action, romance, and paranormal events. I think the author did a pretty good job in creating a story that had all the before mentioned elements. I especially loved the mysterious aspect of the main character Thea Quinn not knowing what she is. While she is running away from an evil and dangerous man, she is now also being hunted by Conall MacLennan, Alpha and Chief of Clan MacLennan, the last werewolf pack in Scotland, who was hired by this man. Conall is a true alpha who would do anything for his pack, and especially his immediate family. I loved how action-packed this book was, and I loved the dynamic between the two main characters Thea and Conall. Thea doesn't trust easily and has no reason to do so with Conall, however she also doesn't feel in danger when she is around him. I enjoyed the pace of how their relationship developed. It wasn't rushed, and the author took her time for the characters to trust and get to know each other. Thea has gone through so much in her life, and I just loved how strong she was. She didn't give up and is definitely one of my favorite characters in PNR. I love the world S. Young has created for this book, it was very well-thought-out and original. So I really hope for more books set in this world. I recommend this book to any reader who love paranormal romances. I would also recommend it to readers who haven't read this genre before, because you should always try to read a genre you haven't before, because who knows, you may find a new favorite.
