    romantic suspense

A short but well developed novella. I love romantic suspense books and this one really delivered. Rowan and Nash have immediate sparks. They were both strong individuals and brought out the softer side of each other. Love Wishful. Great spin off series.

    Watch Over Me

ARC for honest review with no compensation, received from Booksprout Watch Over Me is book 2 in Wishing for a Hero series by Kaitlin Nolan and is another well written, suspenseful, page turner book! Rowen Beale is a police officer in Houston and after her partner is killed she accuses another officer as being a "dirty cop" but of course IA thinks she is suffering from PTSD and she has to a get help before she is released back to work. Little does she know that a lot of people are working against her and facilitating the PTSD, which she may not be suffering from...so when her great uncle suffers a heart attack she decides to take leave and take care of him but trouble follows her back home. Nash Brewer, a retired Navy pilot, part time reserve officer and a caring neighbor for Rowen's uncle meets Rowen again and the attraction he felt for her from before is still there. He is determined to pursue her but she is determined to get her life back and return to Houston as a police officer with no attachments to anyone. That is until trouble comes to town that she thought was only in Houston..will she let Nash help her discover who is behind her troubles and bring them to justice, show her she belongs in town and with him forever or will she just let the bad guys win and lose the one thing she has always wanted..to be a police officer??

    Highly reccomend

I really Enjoyed this book it was very interesting and kept you guessing. I really like Scott there was some mystery and you never knew what was really going on until the very end. Rowan was an awesome character I love how strong she was with unable to be vulnerable and weak with Noah. Highly reccomend. Another Great Visit To Wishful!

This is a great second book for the Wishing For a Hero series. Rowan can't seem to get past the nightmare of a bust gone bad that resulted in the death of her partner. When the department gives her a mandatory leave at the exact time her uncle needs help while recuperating from heart surgery, she takes off for Wishful to help. Rowan is flown to Wishful by the sexy neighbor of her uncle who is also a reserve officer. It doesn't take long for the sparks to ignite between these two. However, trouble has apparently followed Rowan from Houston, and Nash wants to help her figure out who is trying to cause her to look as if she's crazy. Can they find out who it is, or will it prove to be all in Rowans mind? Another great read from Kait Nolan! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

    Love and suspense in Wishful

Watch Over Me is a novella set in Kait Nolan’s Wishing for a Hero series. These books are small town romances, set in Wishful, as are many of Nolan’s other offerings, but the Hero books add a dash of suspense and intrigue to the mix. Watch Over Me revolves around a strong female cop, Rowan, who comes to Wishful to take care of her uncle Robert, who’s recovering from a heart attack. Rowan’s law enforcement career is at a crossroads since she blew the whistle on a fellow cop and has come under fire from her department and has been the target of some fairly serious harassment. Rowan has a lot of walls constructed around herself, and she’s very self-sufficient—but she’s starting to crumble a bit under all the pressure—add to that, she’s starting to question her sanity--especially when it seems her troubles have followed her to Wishful. Nash is a part time pilot, part time police officer in Wishful who has had a bit of a crush on Rowan for a while. He does his best to scale her walls, or to tunnel under them when necessary, and he helps her to see that she can still be strong and ask for help. I really liked the dynamic between Rowan and Nash, and I liked that he liked her strength and her toughness. I especially liked that he had her back and was firmly in her corner, even when things looked a little…. off. This is a quick read and makes a great addition to my Wishful library. There aren’t a lot of characters from the other books in this one, but if you’re looking for them, there are some easter eggs. If not, it’s a terrific standalone introduction to Wishful, if you’ve never read any of the other Wishful stories—but if you are familiar with Wishful, you’ll feel right at home with Rowan, Robert and Nash. I love Kait Nolan’s style, and her stories, short, long and everything in between never disappoint. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
