  • Need to read this again...

A fascinating book and i very quckly became involved with the characters. I was caught by suprise when i reached the end and think there were subtleties i missed. Looking forward to starting again - try not to make asumptions when reading this book!

  • Heartbreaking

A wonderfully funny and poignant novel about a family with an unusual twist. When she was five, Rosemary's sister, Fern, was sent to stay with her grandparents and never returned. Rosemary's older brother, Lowell, disappeared soon afterwards. The novel is narrated by an adult Rosemary as she tries to piece together her broken childhood and make sense of events that she barely remembers. This is a truly unique story about the damage which family members do to each other and is one which haunts the reader for a long time after the book is closed.

  • The book starts off with

The story in the middle, and loops back to the beginning. Plot twists and a strong philosophical thread makes it an interesting read.

  • Not much point

I kept waiting for some kind of plot to develop but this book just ambled from random episode to random episode.
